   Walter Zachow, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at the Glencoe Area Health Center.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Bernice of Gaylord; sons and daughters-in-law Allan and Donna of Gaylord, Dennis and Nita of North Augusta, S.C. Ronald and Sandra of Winthrop, Walt Jr. of Harlem, Ga., Gene and special friend Annie of Duluth; daughters and sons-in-law Linda of Gaylord, Lois and Orv Grund of Watertown, S.D., Sarah and Ron Kirsch of Gaylord, Arlene and Mark Kuphal of Gaylord; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy; brother, Willmar Zachow.
   He was June 13, 1916 to Albert and Louisa (Sylvester) Zachow in Gaylord. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School. On March 31, 1936, he married Bernice Franke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township, rural Gaylord. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Gaylord area for 26 years. They moved into Gaylord in 1962 when he worked for Poquette Chevrolet until his retirement in 1981. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a former member of the Gaylord Baseball Association. He helped organize and manage the annual Farmer-City Slicker Baseball Game in Gaylord.

   Ella Kjelshus, 92, of New Ulm, formerly of rural Hanska died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
   Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Hanska Lutheran church with burial to follow in the church cemetery in rural Hanska.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Saturday and 9-11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
   She is survived by her daughter Darlane and Marlen Krohn of New Ulm; grandchildren Barbara and Tom Enz of Wyoming; Susan and Thomas Hoban of St. Anthony Village, Rober Becker of St. Peter and Paul Becker of Hutchinson; five great-grandsons; sisters Pearl Shelley of Madelia, Diane Sorheim of New Ulm; brother-in-law Oliver Kjelshus of Hanska; sisters-in-law Sylvia Pearse and Gladys Kjelshus both of Hanska; and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband Erwin in 1992; a son an daughter in infancy; son-in-law Arlo Becker and brother Joy Olstad.
   She was born Oct. 17, 1907 to John and Dora (Asmunson) Olstad in Milroy. She spent her youth in Brown County attending country school. She married Erwin Kjelshus on March 5, 1926, at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church parsonage. Together they farmed in Linden Township, Brown County until 1936. They then farmed in Linden Township, Brown County until her husband's death in October of 1992. She continued to live on the family farm until moving to the Real Life Cooperative in New Ulm in 1994. She became a resident of Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm in 1998. She was a member of the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, a volunteer with the American Red Cross and a Gray Lady for many years.

   Richard Edward Gillick, 56, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2000 in Arlington, Texas.
   Services were held in Arlington, with burial in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington.
   He is survived by his wife Sandy of Arlington; son Michael of Arlington; daughter Renee of Euless, Texas; mother Mathilda of New Ulm; brother Roger; sisters, Ruth Tessmer of Coon Rapids, Judy Brand of New Ulm, Polly Bipes of Hutchinson, Mary Jo Weber of Nicollet and Sandie Fritz of Coral Springs, Fla.; and granddaughter Makayla Mason of Euless.
   He was preceded in death by his father William; and sister Charlotte Thunstrom.
   He was born Jan. 31, 1943 in New Ulm. He worked for American Eurocopter Corp. in Grand Prairie, Texas for 23 years, where he was a helicopter mechanic. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Arlington.

   Edwin O. Schiroo, 82, of Winthrop, died on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with burial in Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery in Cornish Township, Sibley County, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
   Visitation will be 7:30-8 a.m. and 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Dalin Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, and one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, VannaGene, of Winthrop, son and daughter-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" and Barb, of Lakeville; daughter, Karla Schreiner, of Burnsville, five grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Margaret, of Hutchinson; brother-in-law, Walter Rickheim, of Winthrop; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Schiroo, of Gaylord and Freida Schiroo, of Buffalo Lake; nieces, nephews and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lillie Roepke and Mabel Rickheim; and brothers, Rudoplh, Herbert, Clarence and Lester.
   He was born Mar. 3, 1917, in Round Grove Township, McLeod County, to Herman John and Louise (Buehler) Schiroo. He grew up in Round Grove Township and attended country school.
   He entered the U.S. Army in 1942. He served during World War II in battles at Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon. He was wounded in action and received many decorations and citations including the bronze star. He received honorable discharge in 1945.
   He married VannaGene Lunderborg June 1, 1947, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon. He worked at Stresemann Plumbing and Heating in Winthrop for five years. He and VannaGene then farmed in Cornish Township until 1984 when they retired and moved into Winthrop. They celebrated 52 years of marriage.
   He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Winthrop where he served on the church Council. He belonged to the Winthrop American Legion POst 314, the Winthrop V.F.W. Post 4078 and the DAV in New Ulm. He served on the Cornish Township board and various coop boards.

   Ada Kilmer, 88, of Madelia, died Thursday, January 27, 2000 at the Madelia Community Hospital.
   Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Madelia United Methodist Church in Madelia. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
   Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by sons, Daryl and wife Donna of Madelia, Royce and wife Pat of Mankato, Arlo and wife Pam of Marietta, Ga. and Larrys nad wife Linda of Hanska; daughter, Cheryl and husband Dennis Wilde of Fulda; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Meda Johnson of Mankato and Marjorie Johnson of Lake Crystal; sister-in-law, Ellcen Johnson of Madelia.
   She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; son, Burton; sisters, Ona Lynch Campbell and Effie Campbell; and brother, Lyle Rollings.
   She was born July 10, 1911 in rural Madelia to George and Bessie (Borton) Rollings, where she grew up and attended rural schools. She married Dewey Kilmer Feb. 14, 1931 at the Madelia Methodist Church parsonage. They farmed in rural Madelia until 1963 when they retired, and moved into town. Shewas a homemaker and also did upholstery work for about 12 years. She was a member of the Medial United Methodist Church and Ladies Aid.

   Marie Puhlman, 79 of New Ulm died Friday, January 28, 2000 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
   Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. until the service both at the funeral home.

   Lawrence "Larry" Robinson, 69, of Green Isle, died Wednesday. January 26, 2000 at Arlington Municipal Hospital.
   Private family services are planned.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington.
   He is survived by his wife, Gloria Robinson of Green Isle; sons, Dan of Mankato, Bruce of Marshall and Brad Robinson of Green Isle; daughters, Linda Hoehn of Mankato, Peggy, and Teresa Robinson of Mankato; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Marcella Robinson of Vernon Center; brother, Dale Strand of Florida; and sisters, Delores McCarthy of Arizona and Goldie Tettam of Vernon Center.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Robinson.
   He was born Sept. 6, 1930 in LeSueur to Norman and Marcella (Decko) Robinson. He married Gloria Bullert June 25, 1966.

    Michael E. Seebeck, 50, died Thursday, January 27, 2000, at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. Kulow Funeral Service of Echo is handling the arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife Vicky of Lucan; children Shawn of San Diego, Calif., and Christopher and Kimberly in Lucan; mother Marian Strootman of Estes Park, Colo.; grandmother Goldie Strootman of Willmar.
   He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandfather; and paternal grandparents.
   He was born Sept. 24, 1949 in Paynesville to Kenneth and Marian (Strootman) Seebeck. He attended Willmar public schools. He served in the U.S. Army and then returned to Willmar where he lived with his grandmother Goldie Strootman.
   He married Vicky Janachovsky May 25, 1979 at Milbank, S.D. The couple settled in Willmar and Mike worked for Al-Ray Trailers in Raymond. The family moved to Lucan in 1996 and he worked for Homera in Tracy for a short while and for the past three years he has worked at Chassis Lines in Lucan. He was a member of the American Legion.
