Gehrke, 75 of rural Winthrop, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Penn Township, McLeod County, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine C. Gehrke of rural Winthrop; daughter, Myra Dolly of rural Winthrop; son, David Gehrke of New Ulm; three grandchildren; brother, Merrill Gehrke of Brownton; and sister, Lois Renner of Victoria. He was born April 26, 1926, in Round Grove Township, McLeod County, to Albert and Esther (Polzin) Gehrke. Jordan Jennings, 2, of Glenwwod City, Wis., died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul of complications from a drowning accident. Jordan is the daughter of Kevin and Sybil (Beltz) Jennings, formerly of the New Ulm-Sleepy Eye area. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Mary Frances Tighe, 92, of St. James, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James with burial in Calvary Cemetery, St. James. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home. There will be a Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by sons, Jim of St. James, Bob of Owatonna; daughters, Kathleen Rich of St. Paul, Marilyn Melin of Maple Grove, Pat Poss of Fridley; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Ervin Sturm of Fairmont; and sisters, Josephine Bartlet of St. Peter, Mildred Dick of Madelia, and Margaret Kuehl of St. James. She was born Nov. 7, 1909, to Max and Katie (Riesenberg) Sturm in St. Helena, Neb. Scott A. Guscette, 31, of Belle Plaine, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 2 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fairfax, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Roger Woller and Rev. LaVern Holz will be officiating. Visitation is 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at the church. Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine handled arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Michelle of Belle Plaine; daughter, Desirae; son, Derek; parents, Raymond and Judy of Clear Lake, Iowa; sisters, Michele (LaRoy) McFerran and Kylie (Clint) Calease, both of Clear Lake, IA; four nieces and nephews, Samantha Guscette, Hunter McFerran, and Madelyn and Tateon Calease; Grandmother, Evelyn Rebhahn of Beulah, N.D.; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Renae Firle of Fairfax; and brother-in-law, Shawn (Karen) Firle; and grandparents-in-law, Ruth Black, Corwin and June Firle. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Duane Guscette and Arnold & Madelyn Clementson. He was born on Sept. 21, 1970 in Jamestown, N.D. to Raymond and Judy (Clementson) Guscette, He was a 1989 graduate of Mandan N.D. High School, a 1993 graduate of Willmar Community College, and 1995 graduate of Mankato State University. Scott and Michelle Firle were married on Jan. 4, 1992 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fairfax by Rev. Roger Woller. Scott was employed in law enforcement by the City of Mankato, worked as a deputy for Pine and Chisago Counties, and was later employed by Minnesota State Patrol, District of Scott and Carver Counties as a State Patrolman. Scott was an outdoorsman, liked fishing, camping, golf, hockey, and taking walks. Minnie Buboltz, 94, of Bird Island, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at the Olivia Healthcare Center. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Swedlanda Lutheran Church, Palmyra Township, rural Hector with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are handled by Hughes Funeral Home.
