Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. today at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, and there will be a rosary by Catholic Order of Foresters at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Donald Domeier of rural Sleepy Eye; daughter Christine Tanley and her husband Tim of rural Sleepy Eye; sons, Daniel Domeier and Larry Domeier and his fiancee Tammy Wilson all of New Ulm; two grandchildren, Heidi and Katie Tanley of rural Sleepy Eye; sisters, Shirleen Beranek and her husband Kenny of New Ulm, Doreen Cichon and her husband Gerald of Gibbon; brothers, Roger Altmann and his wife Arlene of Klossner, Ronald Altmann and his wife Jolene of New Ulm; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Esther Domeier of New Ulm. She was born June 3, 1942 in New Ulm to Victor and Winifred (Meyer) Altmann. She graduated from New Ulm High School. She married Donald Domeier on June 24, 1961 at Swan Lake Catholic Church. They farmed in Sigel Township on the family farm. She was a volunteer for the Sigel Fireflies 4-H and participated in the Narren Group for Heritagefest for several years. She worked at the Dittrich Specialties for nearly 11 years. She was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Christian Mothers and Catholic Order of Foresters. Clifford Hippert, 71, of 1610 Sunset Ave., Sunset Apartments, in New Ulm died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at his home. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery. Visitation is 4 - 7 p.m. today and continues 7:30 -8 a.m. on Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour before services Saturday at the church. He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Raymond Bode of Courtland, Doris and Harold Macho of Mankato, Alice and Delbert Lambrecht of New Ulm, and Rosalie Traurig of Louisville, Ky.; brothers and sisters in law, Waldo and Lucy Hippert and Raymond and Hildreth Hippert all of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Donald and Shirley Hippert of Owatonna, Morris and Bernice Hippert and Lawrence Jr. and Diane Hippert all of New Ulm; special friend, Emily (Borseth) Kaatz of New Ulm; sister-in-law Catherine Hippert of Chippewa Falls, Wis. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Harvey and Warren Hippert. He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in New Ulm to Lawrence Sr. and Elsie (Zimmerman) Hippert. He graduated from New Ulm High School. He farmed the family farm in rural New Ulm. He also worked at Tony Downs in Madelia for several years. He was a member of the Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm. He had lived at Sunset Apartments since March of 1997. Duane F. Wolterman, 72 of Fairfax, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Oak Hills Living Center, New Ulm. Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery the church cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County. Full military rites will be provided by the Fairfax Honor Guard. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8 a.m. Saturday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax, and 9:30-11 a.m. at the church on Saturday. There will be a rosary at 5 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m., today at the funeral chapel. He is survived by his wife, Marie L. Wolterman of Fairfax; daughters, Maria Wolterman of Minneapolis and Jan and her husband Chris Koop of South Miami, Fla.; granddaughters, Megan and Brittney Koop; sisters, Rosemary Kappenman of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jeanette Krebs and husband Jack of Laurens, Iowa, Marilyn Wendinger and husband Clarence of Fairfax, Shirley Fitzgerald of Lucan, Maribeth and husband Lyle U'Ren of Reno, Nev., Muriel Kammermeyer and husband John of Burnsville, and Jolene and husband Dave U'Ren of Rushford; a brother, Gerald and wife Lorraine Wolterman of Charles City, Iowa; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clem Anton and wife Alice of Marshall, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a son in infancy; brother, Stanley Wolterman; sister, Clarice Murphy; and brothers-in-law, Jim Murphy, Jack Fitzgerald and Jim Kappenman, D.D.S. He was born June 30, 1926, in Maple River, Iowa, to Frank and Theresa (Determan) Wolterman. He grew up in Iowa, where he graduated from OLGC High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received an honorable discharge on Nov. 10, 1946. He married Marie Anton in Olivia on March 2, 1957. During his lifetime, he assisted his father on the family farm, worked at the fertilizer plant in Fairfax, then delivered propane gas for Midland and Federated co-ops in Winthrop and later Annandale. The couple lived in Winthrop and Annandale until their return to Fairfax in 1993. He became a resident of the Franklin Health Care Center in April 1998 and later the Oak Hills Living Center. He was a past member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Winthrop, where he served on the parish council and as an usher. He was a current member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. He was a life member of the Fairfax VFW, Post 8459, and the Stearns County Pioneer Club of Albany. Richard W. Gehlen, 85, of Glencoe, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Center. Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of Saint Pius X in Glencoe with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-McBridge Funeral Chapel in Glencoe. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today followed by a K.C. rosary. Wilbert MesserschmidtS, 89, of Sleepy Eye, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, At Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.
