   Agnes K. Weber, 90, of Springfield died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at the Springfield Hospital.
   Arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Home of Springfield.

   Raymond Oliver Elvin, 78, of St. James, died Jan. 29, 2001, at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in St. James with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, St. James.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7.30-9 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James; and continues one hour before the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, Dagny; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Jim. Larson of St. James, Jan and Rod Dauer of Hutchinson, Vicki and Orlando Johnson of St. James; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tracy of Bartlesville, Okla.; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Joel an Yvonne Blanchfield of New Hope and Jon Blanchfield of St. James; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Jill and Curtis Lund of Brooklyn Park, and Jennifer Lieser and her fiance Michael Foulger of Powell, Wyo.; sisters, Vida Altemus of Norwalk, Ohio, Marie Sates of Riverside, Calif., Anita McGowan, Johnstown, Penn., and Carole Ahern of Madelia; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six stepgrandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Vivian Elvin on Jan. 17, 1981; brother, Walter; and his parents,
   Memorials are preferred to the Diabetes Foundation.
   Raymond Oliver "Chick" Elvin was born June 19, 1922, to Charles and Sara (William) Elvin in Minneapolis. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 37 years. He married Dagny Almlie on Nov. 30, 1986, in Powell, Wyo. He was a member of the Ellingsburg Zoettle VFW Post 1914, American Legion Post 33 and the United Trainmen Union. He served in the military during World War II in North Africa and Italy.

   Anna Mae Larson, 91, of Lafayette, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Lafayette Good Samaritan Assisted Living Center.
   Arrangements are pending with Firle Funeral Home, Lafayette.

   Dale Remus, 67, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at Divine Providence Community Home, Sleepy Eye.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is 7:30-10 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. Military rites will be provided by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.
   He is survived by his wife, Myrtyce Remus of Sleepy Eye; children, Dione and husband Jesse Kelm of Plymouth, Debra Remus and Mark Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Gwen and husband David Holkesvig of Sleepy Eye, and Greg and wife Camille Remus of Fargo, N.D.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Remus of Sleepy Eye, sisters, LaVonne and husband Gene Warren of Mesa, Ariz., and Lynelle Gorka of Forest Lake.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   He was born July 27, 1933, in Sleepy Eye to Orville and Selma (Berkner) Remus. He attended school in Sleepy Eye. He joined the U.S. Army in 1951, fought in the Korean Conflict and returned to Sleepy Eye after his discharge. He married Myrtyce Ibberson on July 18, 1955, in Sleepy Eye. They lived in the Twin Cities where he worked in law enforcement as chief of police of several Twin Cities communities. He later became a state Crime Bureau agent in North Dakota.
   He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, VFW, American Legion, Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, Catholic Order of Foresters and FBI National Academy Associates.

   Ruth Hanssen, 88, of St. Paul, formerly of Fairfax, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Regions Hospital, St. Paul.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, with burial in Swedlanda Lutheran Church Cemetery, Palmyra Township, Renville County.
   Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
   Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, is in charge of arrangements.
   She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Ruth Ann of Brainerd, Noel and Shirley of Fridley, and Curtis and Nancy of Brooklyn Park; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Brenneman of Minneapolis; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd; step-daughter, Mary Ann Bach; three brothers; and a sister.
   She was born Oct. 20, 1912, in Renville County, to John A.G. and Ida C. (Anderson) Anderson. She attended country school in Palmyra Township and graduated from Hector High School in 1931. She married Floyd Hanssen in July 1936 in Redwood Falls. They lived in Fairfax. She moved to Presbyterian Homes, Roseville, in May 1999. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, where she was active with the church women.
