   Phyllis Elaine Westphal, 54, of Belle Plaine, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at her home.
   Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Fenske Hayes Funeral Home in Belle Plaine; and will continue one hour before the service Sunday at the church.

   Bernard 'Ben' J. Braulick, 98, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000 at Divine Providence Community Home, Sleepy Eye.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Catholic Aid rosary at 5 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by daughter Bernice and husband Norbert Sturm of Springfield; sons, Ervin of Sleepy Eye and Ben and wife Shirley of Sleepy Eye; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ida; brothers, Frank, Joseph, Clement, Anton, Leo and Philip; sisters, Mary, Therese, Anna and Martha; daughter-in-law Rita; and great-granddaughter Tiffini Sturm.
   He was born Sept. 6, 1901 in Stark Township, Brown County, to Frank and Anna (Pelzel) Braulick. He married Ida M. Neidecker on June 20, 1923 in New Ulm. The couple made their home in Stark Township, where they farmed for 34 years until 1957, when they moved to Sleepy Eye. Ben worked for Martinka Hardware, Del Monte, Berg Barn Equipment and Sleepy Eye Golf Course. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, and the Catholic Aid Association. He served on the Dist. 45 school board and the Stark Creamery board.

   Agnes E. Trapp, 91, of Sanborn, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000 at Valley View Manor, Lamberton.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
   Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield, is in charge of arrangements.
   She is survived by her brother Ernest and wife Alvina Trapp of Sanborn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ella and Alice; and brothers, Ben, Walt and Dick.
   She was born April 12, 1908 on the Trapp homestead in Charlestown Township, Redwood County, to William and Augusta (Holznagel) Trapp. In 1923, she moved with her father to Sanborn where she attended Zion Lutheran School. Before her father died in 1926, her mother came to town. She remained in the same house until 1995, when she moved to Valley View Manor. In the 1950s she owned a craft and quilting store in Sanborn, named Sanborn Variety Store. She had worked in Minneapolis, at Robbies Poultry Station, Sanborn, and at Springfield Community Hospital. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn and the American Legion Auxiliary.
