   Marie Rusten, 99, of Madelia, died Feb. 1, 1999, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
   Memorial services will be held at Nora Unitarian Universalist Church, rural Hanska, at a later date. Arrangements are by Woodland Hills Funeral Home, Mankato.

   Gwendolyn H. Nord, 84 of Fairmont, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at her home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont, with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
   She is survived by daughters, Karen Houfer and husband John of Fairmont, Diane Bookman and husband Douglas of Yardley, Penn.; sons, David Nord and wife Nancy of Menahga; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
   She was preceded in death by husband, Harold in 1989; brothers, Walter, Arthur and Paul Wessel; sisters, Lenore Utecht, Alma Sorenson, Esther Healey, Garnet Belau and Vera Flaming.
   She was born on July 10, 1914 in Fairmont to Charles and Wilhelmina (Benders) Wessel. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1932. She worked at Woolworth's in Fairmont until her marriage. She married Harold C. Nord on Dec. 22, 1935 in Fairmont. They lived in Fairmont and various other communities, moving to New Ulm in 1955, where she assisted her husband in the management of the New Ulm Monument Company. They retired and moved back to Fairmont in 1972. She was a distributor and supervisor for Shaklee Products. She was a member of Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont where she was active in Prime Timers and Dorcus Ladies.
   Memorials are preferred to Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont and KJLY Radio.

   Charles David Luikart, 44, of 510 N. Franklin Street in New Ulm died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999 in New Ulm.
   Services are 2 p.m. today at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the Tyler Mountain Cemetery in West Virginia.
   Visitation is one hour prior to time of service at the funeral home.
   He is survived by a sister, Linda Tuncsiper of Beckley, W. Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, William F. Luikart of Hurricane, W. Va., Robert L. and Kathy Luikart of Lookout, W. Va., V. Francis II and Sharon Luikart of St. Paul; uncle David Luikart of New Port Richey, Fla.; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   He was born Sept. 20, 1954 in Charleston, W. Va., to V. Francis and Frankie (Waychoff) Luikart. He graduated from High School in Charleston, West Virginia. He worked for his father in the family owned hardware store called Belle Hardware in Belle, W. Va., before moving to Minnesota in December 1997. He lived in Mankato for a while and worked for Palm Beach Marinecraft, Inc. in Nicollet, which is owned by his brother. When the company moved to New Ulm in December of 1998, he moved to New Ulm and continued working at Palm Beach Marinecraft.
