   Wallace H. Berg, 84, died Thursday, February 4, 1999 at New Ulm Medical Center.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Winthrop, with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery, with full military rites by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and 7:30-8 a.m. Tuesday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Mary of Winthrop; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert and Gail Berg of Shakopee, James and Mark Berg, both of Minneapolis; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Gary Renner of Winthrop, Eileen and Robert Lee of St. Louis Park, Rosanne and David Doughty of Annandale; 12 grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Roland and Marie Berg of Gaylord; sister and brother-in-law Delores and Russell Johnson of Winthrop; sisters-in-law, Elain Berg of Winthrop, Ruby Erickson of North St. Paul; nieces, nephews and friends.
   He was preceded in death by brothers, Harris, Milford and Myron.
   He was born June 22, 1914 in Alfsborg Township, Sibley County to Clarence and Myrtle (Lund) Berg. He attended country schools in New Sweden Township, Nicollet County. He entered the U.S. Army in 1941 and served with the 41st Armored Infantry during World War II in the European-African-Middle Eastern Thater. He received the Silver Star medal, Good Conduct medal, a Purple Heart before receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. Following his discharge, he was awarded the bronze medal. He married Mary Doheny on February 2, 1946 in St. Paul and the couple resided in Winthrop before moving to their farm in Alfsboro Township, Sibley County, in 1966. He farmed and was employed at Tri-County Dairy (Mid-America Dairymen Inc.), for 29 years. The couple retired from farming in 1977 and moved back into Winthrop. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop, where he served as church treasurer from 1977-1993 and he was also on the church's parish council and the finance committee. He was a member and past commander of the Winthrop American Legion Post 314, the Winthrop V.F.W. Post 4078 and the Disabled American Veterans.

   Gerald B. Gregg, 85, died on Friday, February 5, 1999.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial at Home Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Sleepy Eye Honor Gurad.
   Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Ida; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Connie Gregg of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren, Darren, Allison and Chelsey Gregg; brothersand sisters-in-law, Floyd and Gen Gregg, Glenn and Leona Gregg, all of Sleepy Eye.
   He was preceded in death by brother Aaron; sister Fern Remus.
   He was born May 9, 1913 in Forest City, Iowa to Paul and Myrtle (England) Gregg. He grew up and attended schools in Iowa and Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he farmed in Iowa and moved to Sleepy Eye in 1940. He entered the U.S. Army in 1942, where he served in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged in 1945. He married Ida Dyressen on Oct. 2, 1953 in Sleepy Eye where they farmed until retiring in 1986. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye and was a past member of the Keystone #94 Masonic Lodge AF and AM in Sleepy Eye.

   Teresa Dorn, 91 of Alexandria, formerly of New Ulm, died Saturday, February 6, 1999 at the Bethany Home in Alexandria.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm.
