   Duane Johnson, 52, formerly of Lafayette died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, in Hudson, Wis.
   Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette.
   Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Sunday. A complete obituary will appear in The Journal on Sunday.

   John Harens, 60, of Henderson, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at his home.
   Services are 11 a.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Jessenland Township, Sibley County, with burial with military honors in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church today.
   He is survived by his wife, Lois of Henderson; daughters Renee Garfunkel of Norwood-Young America and Barb Telthoester of Henderson; son, Bruce Harens of Mankato; sisters, Mary Riley of Liberty, Mo., Carol Voigt of Glencoe, Sharon Shepherd of Eagle River, Alaska; and Eunice Johnson of Savage; and seven grandchildren.
   He was born March 20, 1941, in Fargo, N.D. to John and Eleanor (Titus) Harens. He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 30, 1961 to Nov. 28, 1964.

   Ferdinand Krenz, 79, of Sleepy Eye, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Evan.
   Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.

   Beverly Macik, 68, of Hector, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002 at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, Cosmos, with burial in Lake Lillian Community Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hughes Funeral Home, Hector, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
   She is survived by daughters, Liela Garberich of Lake Lillian, Shirley Berger of Fairfax, Nancy McNamara of Bird Island, Marilyn Serbus of Willmar, Pamela Larson of Hector, and Bonnie Ahlbrecht of Hector; 17 grandchildren; brothers, Ilert Anderson of Cosmos, and Ned Anderson of Hector; and sisters, Faith Nelson of Grove City, and LuRae Thomas of Cosmos.
   She was born Oct. 15, 1933, in East Lake Lillian Township, Kandiyohi County, to Clarence and Lillian (Olson) Anderson.

   Edwin A. Moldan, 76, of rural Comfrey, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at the Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
   Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
   He is survived by brothers, William Moldan of New Ulm, Florian and wife Dorothy Moldan of Sleepy Eye, and Joe and wife Dodie Moldan of Hanska, and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary; a brother-in-law, Valerian Woratschka; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Moldan, and nephews, Brian Woratschka and Doug Moldan.
   Edwin was born Jan. 22, 1926 in Mulligan Township, Brown County, to George and Mary (Sellner) Moldan. He attended District 46 country school, and also spent two years at St. Mary's School in Sleepy Eye. Edwin lived on and operated the family farm his entire life. He enjoyed his dairy herd, hunting, fishing, playing cards, old time music and his dog, Puppy. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey. Edwin was also a member of the Catholic Aid Association.

   Raymond J. Hoffmann, 71, of 20424 Grandview Rd., rural New Ulm, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 2 p.m.. Tuesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery, Soldiers Rest Section. Full graveside military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Ulm Veterans Organizations.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   He is survived by his sister, Angeline Kral of Sleepy Eye; and brother, Frank Hoffmann Jr. of rural New Ulm.
   He was born April 13, 1930, in Sigel Township, Brown County, to Frank Sr. and Agnes (Scheffler) Hoffmann. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1953 to November 1954.
