   Edith J. "Billie" Stock, 90, of Windom and formerly of Sanborn, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Sogge Good Samaritan Community in Windom.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn, with burial in the Sanborn Lutheran Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Windom and continues 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church.

   Edgar 'Red' Castle, 71, of 2526 S. Bridge St. in New Ulm died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999 at New Ulm Medical Center.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery, Soldiers Rest section. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Ulm veterans organization.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and continues 7:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his wife, Rachel Castle of New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Richard White of Apple Valley, Vivian and Steven Hindermann of Sioux City, Iowa; son, Allan Castle of St. Cloud; eight grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Jim Hanson of Wassott, Wis.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Grace Castle of Oswego, Kansas, Quentin and Letha Castle of Redwood Falls.
   He was preceded in death by sister, Eva Daun; and brothers, Leroy and Martin Castle.
   He was born Aug. 22, 1927 in Redwood Falls to Roy and Anna (Taubert) Castle. He attended school in Redwood Falls. He entered the United States Army in 1945, serving in Attu, Alaska until 1946. He married Rachel Sizer on March 18, 1949 in Gaylord. They farmed near Bertha. They moved to Montana where he worked as an auto mechanic. They returned to Redwood Falls and he worked for Sandvig Plumbing and Heating. He then worked for Wallner Construction as a backhoe operator for 32 years. For the past 10 years he has worked for Hoffman Construction in New Ulm. He was a lifetime member of the Seifert-Bianchi American Legion Club Post 132 of New Ulm and the American Legion Color Guard.
    The family requests no floral arrangements.

   Eileen Fiedler, 76 of Sanborn, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at her home.
   Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.
    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and will continue one hour before services Thursday at the church. There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
   She is survived by daughters, Charlene and husband Leonard Reilein of Winsted, Annette and husband Daniel L. Schilling of New Ulm, Sharon and husband Scott Schultz of Lamberton; son, Allen of Melville, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ervin and wife Delores Platz of Springfield; sister-in-law, Leona Platz of Springfield.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Lellis in 1976; son, Kevin; brother, Vernon; and sister Lorraine.
   She was born March 16, 1922 in North Star Township, Brown County, to Henry and Mary (Saffert) Platz. She attended. country school. On Nov. 5, 1940 she married Lellis Fiedler at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. They farmed in the Sanborn area. She moved into Sanborn in 1976. She worked with Countryside Cooks and at Lamberton Public Schools as a cook. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn and the Council of Catholic Women.

   Waldemar 'Wally' Engel, 86, of Nicollet died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999 at his home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the church cemetery, rural Nicollet.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and continues one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday's edition.

   Lela Osborne, 89, of Madelia, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital.
   Arrangements are pending with Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia.
