   Hedwig "Hattie" Arndt, 90 of Echo died Thursday Feb. 11, 1999 at the Parkview Home in Belview.
   Services will be 11 a.m.Tuesday at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo with burial in the Echo Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continue Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church.
   She is survived by her daughter Sharon Brockman and husband Dean of Burnsville; 3 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, and a sister Hertha Kuehn.
   She was born Oct. 3, 1908 in Echo Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Carl and Ida (Salzwedel) Wendt. On Sept. 10, 1930 she married Albert Emil Arndt in the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo and they lived and farmed in Echo Township until 1966 when they retired and moved into Echo. Albert died on June 30, 1994. She was a member of the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Echo and the Ladies Aid.

   Teresa Dorn, 91, of Alexandria, formerly of New Ulm, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999 at the Bethany Home in Alexandria.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, with burial to follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. and Tuesday from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
   She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Thomas Herzog of Alexandria; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister Harriet Lange of St. Paul; sisters-in-law, Hazel Gassner and Sophie Windhorn, both of New Ulm, and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband Roman in 1962; sisters, Anne Gassner, Magdalen Otterstad, and one in infancy; brothers, Carl Gassner, Frank Gassner and one in infancy.
   She was born Nov. 7, 1907 to Joseph and Magdalena (Forster) in New Ulm. She lived in New Ulm her entire life. On Feb. 8, 1927, she married Roman John Dorn. She worked at Herberger's in New Ulm from 1946 until she retired in 1977.
   She became a resident of Bethany Home in Alexandria when she became ill in 1992. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

   Wendelin H. Helget, 82, of rural Sleepy Eye, died Feb. 12, 1999, at his residence.
   Services are 10:30 a.m Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye with burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. on Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home. There will be a general parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his children Wallace and wife Ethel Helget of Morgan, Lester and wife Ruth Helget of Sleepy Eye, Phyllis and husband Ronald Sellner of Kasota; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alvin Helget of Sleepy Eye, Victor and wife Valeria Helget of New Ulm, Delmar and wife Agnes Helget of Sleepy Eye; brother-in-law Ervin and wife Marion Fischer of Sleepy Eye, sister-in-law Arnolda Fischer of Sleepy Eye.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Veronica, sisters-in-law; Leona Helget, Caroline Helget and brother-in-law Willard Fischer.
   He was born Aug. 10, 1916 in Stark Township, Brown County to Otto and Clara (Haala) Helget. He grew up on a farm and received his education in country school.
   On June 7, 1938 he married Veronica "Fronie" Fischer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Following marriage the couple lived and farmed in Eden Township, Brown County. Wendelin was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

   Woodrow W. Lund, 82, of West St. Paul, formerly of Lafayette, died Wednesday, Feb. 10.
   Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Augustana Lutheran Church in West St. Paul, followed by private family interment.
   West Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a sister, Shirley and husband Virgil Youngblom of Belle Plaine; brothers, Wilber and wife Del of McLean, Va.; Dr. Gene and wife Louise of Moorhead, Earl and wife Ardis of Lafayette, and James and wife Mary of New Ulm; and by many nieces and nephews.
   He was born in Lafayette to Reuben and Mae Lund. He served in the U.S. Military during World War II, being stationed in Arkansas, Alabama and France.
   He worked in West St. Paul for the Central Livestock Association, and later went to work for the state as a weighmaster.
