Evelyn A. Bjornson, 86, of New Ulm died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004 at the St. Peter Health Care Center in St. Peter. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Nancy Jo Hinkel, nee Nachreiner, age 41, of Villa Park, Ill., beloved wife of Michael; loving mother of Payton Grace; devoted daughter of Ruth and Arnold Nachreiner; dear sister of Bonnie (Terry) Skorczewski, Lori (David) Pherson, Al (Sara) Nachreiner, Russ (Mickey Burger) Nachreiner, and Holly (Niles) Hanson; dear daughter in law of Bob and Wilhelmina Hinkel, sister in law of Marijka (Andy Topham) Hinkel and John (Heather) Hinkel, also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation at the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary 435 N. York Rd, Elmhurst, Ill. on Saturday, Feb, 14, from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service 4 p.m. Nancy was a 1981 graduate of Cathedral H.S., 1985 Graduate Magna Cum Laude Southwest State. University, Minn.; and received her Masters Degree from University of Illinois at Chicago; and employed as a Program Coordinator for the DuPage County Health Department, Please omit flowers, if desired, memorials may be directed to the family in care of Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 630-834-1133 Sylvia Holle, 91, of Mankato, formerly of Courtland, died Thursday, Feb. 12th at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Schmucker Funeral Service Chapel in New Ulm, with Rev. Thomas Henning officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm. Sylvia Jane Gardner, the daughter of Orrion and Lottie (Mau) Gardner, was born November 29, 1912 in Mission, SD, where she spent her youth and graduated from high school. She married Edward Holle January 1, 1934 at Mission, SD. They made their home in South Dakota and Nebraska for a time, before moving to Courtland, MN where they spent most of their married life together. Sylvia worked for B.F. Goodrich and Stork Brothers in New Ulm for many years. Following her husband's death, she continued to make her home in Courtland, until moving to Mankato several years ago to be near her daughter. She moved to the Sunrise Cottage of Mankato in 1999. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Survivors include her daughters, Valeria Youell of Mankato, Carol Long and her companion Phil Dodson of Fort Madison, IA; grandchildren, Vickie Schwichtenberg and her husband Scott of Mankato, Pat Long and his wife Shana of Nauvoo, IL, Gregory Long of Burlington, IA, Kenneth Long of Fort Madison, IA; great grandchildren, Debbie, Jason and Jarrod Schwichtenberg, Kaitlyn, Mitchell, Lydia and Riley Long, Amanda and Erin Long; brother-in-law, Rueben Holle and his wife Esther of Mankato, nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Youell, one brother and seven sisters. Eunice Martensen, 73, of Hector, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004 at Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center. Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector. Burial will be in Hector City Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by four daughters, Judie Berg of New Ulm, Julie Heller of Hector, Cheryl Kaczmarek of Hutchinson and Lynn Lange of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; a brother, Leon Otto of Wabasso; a sister, Lois Zimmerman of Lamberton. She was born Oct. 17, 1930 in Redwood County, Minnesota to Hugo and Elsie (Otto) Otto.
