Babb, 53 of Sioux Falls, S.D., died Thursday, Feb., 11, 1999 at his home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Aberdeen. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Sioux Falls, formelry of New Ulm; sons, Scott and Jeff of Sioux Falls and Torrey of Brooklyn Park; brothers, Graham of Holladay, Utah, Terry of West Fargo, N. D. and Rance of Federal Way, Wash.; and sisters, Ginny Beattie of Sioux Falls, Sally Haugen of Minnetonka and Suellen Bartz of Dickinson, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was born June 13, 1945 in Aberdeen, S.D. the son of Norman and Sue Babb. He grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1963. He served in the United States Navy after graduation from High School. He moved to Minneapolis and worked for Honeywell Corporation. He married Pat Schnobrich on Feb. 24, 1968, in New Ulm, and they moved to Aberdeen where he attended Northern State University and was a truck driver for Allied Van Lines for Jobbers Warehouse. After graduation, he started David Babb Construction in Aberdeen. He and his family moved to Sioux Falls in September 1983 and he continued with his construction in Sioux Falls. He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion, and the Home Builders Association. Marion Urke, 68, of rural Vesta-Milroy, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999 at her home in Underwood Township, Redwood County. She died from complications from Parkinson's disease. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday from the Ashford Presbyterian Church in Milroy with burial in the Vesta Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and on Monday one hour prior to services at the Ashford Presbyterian Church. The Sunset Funeral Home of Echo is handling the arrangements. She is survived by her husband Dennis; her children, Christine and husband Dave Anderson of Fridley, Kathleen and husband Jim Zwaschka, and David and wife Brenda of Greer, S.C., nine grandchildren, and two great grandchilren. She was born Jan. 29, 1931, in St. James to Gilbert and Lila (Noren) Keyser. She moved as a child with her family to Redwood Falls where she graduated from Redwood Falls High School. She married Dennis Urke on June 17, 1950 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They lived on a farm in Underwood Township, Redwood County. She was an active member of the Ashford Presbyterian Church in Milroy. She served as an elder and was a member of the Women's Association which included serving as its treasurer. She organized the first Parkinson's disease support group in southwestern Minnesota, she helped as a First Responder, and workd as a volunteer in the Milroy School District.
