   Henry C. Menzel, 81, of Arlington, died Feb. 10, 1999 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in St. Paul.
    Memorial Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington.
   Visitation is one before the memorial mass at the church. Fenske Funeral Home of Arlington is handling the arrangements.
   He is survived by daughters, Mary and husband Dan Corbett of Madison, Wis., Peggy and fiancee' Ed Creagan of Rochester; sons and daughters-in-law; Charlie and Noreen of Queensbury, N.Y., Robert and Nancy Menzel of Mankato, Michael and Kathy of Edina, and Jack and Carolyn Menzel of Elk River; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
   A complete obituary will follow at a later date.

   Leo Larsen, 86, 1706 S. Franklin, New Ulm, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at his son's home in Westminster, Calif.
   Arrangements are pending with Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.

   Eileen (Boyum) Johnson of Forest Lake formerly of northeast Minneapolis and Fairfax, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home in Forest Lake.
   Visitation 5-8 p.m today at the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Scandinavian Cemetery in Forest Lake.
   She is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Sheryl (Harold) Dickison, Karen (Greg) Hennessey, Jan (Daryl) Johnson-Lebahn, Tim (friend Sue Nagel) Johnson, Shelly (Roger) Elmore, granddaughters, Alissa, Kristina, Jessica and Michelle and April; sisters and brother, Lavonne Mickelson, Doris Prax, and Dennis Boyum; many nieces, nephew and friends.
   She was born on Sept. 28, 1925 to Clarence and Matilda Boyum.

   Lothar Mueller, 76, of Springfield, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at Mankato Lutheran Home.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.

   Alden Hanson, 78, of Odin, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999 at Redwood Falls Municipal Hospital.
   Services are 2 p.m. today at St. Olaf Church in rural Odin with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour before services at the church. Kramer Family Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   He is survived by daughter Jodi, and her husband Lon Lindsey of Spirit Lake Iowa; sons, Kurt Hanson of St. James, Ross Hanson and wife Bev of rural Odin, Gary and his wife Cathy Hanson of Oakdale; six grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and his wife Delores of rural Odin, Harold and his wife Ardis Hanson of Butterfield, LaVerne and his wife Delores Hanson of Hillman; sisters, Mavis and her husband Al Bessesen of Orlando, Fla., Gerry and her husband Wayne Nelson of Des Moines Iowa, Pearl and her husband Richard Priest of Las Vegas, Nev; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Donna Boettcher of Brandon, S.D.; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; and his sister; Lorraine Hanson.
   He was born Dec. 12, 1920 in Cedar Township to Howard and Julia (Teig) Hanson. He attended St. James High School and School of Agriculture at St. Paul. He helped on the family farm. He married Arlene Hartke on April 28, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. They farmed in Odin Township. Arlene died May 25, 1980. In 1982 he moved into Odin. Since November of 1998 he was a resident of the Lake Crystal Health Care Center, most recently at the Franklin Health Care Center in Franklin. He was a member of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

   Grace Petersen, 91, of Springfield, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at Springfield Medical Center.
    Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Springfield, with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-9 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield; and continues one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
   She is survived by children, Shirley Bloemke of Springfield, Ralph and Edna Petersen of Springfield, Mary Lou Haala and friend David Carlson of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Harvey Henry of Kerkhoven.
   She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond; brothers, Bill, Leo and Bob; sisters, Myrtle Rasmussen, Ruby Hansen; sons-in-law, Harold Bloemke and Wendelin Haala.
   She was born Aug. 24, 1907, in Kerrick, Ill., to Adam and Anna (Nappel) Henry. She and her family moved to Sundown Township, Redwood County in the 1920. She married Raymond Petersen on Sept. 16, 1925, in Springfield. They farmed in Brookville Township. They moved to Springfield in 1968. She became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in July 1995. She was a member of United Methodist Church.
