   Kurt E. Strom, 53, of Oakdale, died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, Woodbury.
   He is survived by his wife, Mary Tomaschko Strom of Oakdale; mother, Clarissa Strom of Pipestone; mother-in-law, Gertrude Tomaschko of New Ulm; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Chuck Schrader and niece Amy of Plymouth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Larry and JoAnn Patterson of Burnsville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herbert and Grayce Tomaschko of Apple Valley; and several nieces and nephews.
   He was born in Davenport, Iowa, on Jan. 8, 1946. He worked at the Minnesota Council on Disabilities for many years. He married Mary Tomaschko at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm on Aug. 27, 1977.

   Francis DeToy, 86, of Madelia, died Tuesday, Feb.16, 1999, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
   Visitation is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim FUneral Home with a rosary recitation at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 8:30 p.m.

   Lonnie Ahrens, 43, of Franklin, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls.
   Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Sacred Heart in Franklin with burial in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery in Redwood Falls.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and continues one hour before services at the church.
   He is survived by son, Jesse Michael Ahrens of Truman; parents, William (Woody) and Sally Ahrens of Franklin; brother, Jerel (Woody) Ahrens of Franklin; sister, Sherri Zimmerman and husband Thomas of Windom; and three nephews.
   He was born Sept. 30, 1955, to William and Sally (Kodet) Ahrens in Redwood Falls. He attended St. Michael's Elementary School in Morgan and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1974. He graduated from the Institute of Arts in Minneapolis in 1977. On Sept. 30, 1978, he married Marsha Schultz in Courtland. He worked for Woody's Body Shop for ten years and most recently worked for Jackpot Junction in the accounting department. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church.

   Leo Larsen, 86 of 1706 S. Franklin St., New Ulm, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999 at his son's home in Westminster, Calif.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-9 a.m. Friday at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Leeyvone Larsen of Westminster, Calif.; son-in-law, Barry Bloedel of New Ulm; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
   He was preceded in death by his wife in 1978; daughter, Sharon Bloedel in 1993; three brothers; three sisters.
   He was born April 28, 1912 in Redwood County to Nels and Jennie (Kartak) Larsen. He attended Redwood Falls High School. He married Verda Donner on Oct. 8, 1936 in Redwood County. They farmed in the Lucan area before moving retiring and moving to New Ulm in 1974. He moved to California, in 1998. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
