   Burnett James Radtke, 89, of Sanborn, died on Friday, February 19, 1999 at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn, with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Alice of Sanborn; son John of Brookings, S.D.; daughter and son-in-law Jeanne and Steven Schmidt of Ghent; five grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Myra Fritshe, Irene and Arsers, Vivian DeWanz, all of New Ulm.
   He was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and Wallace; sister, LaVerna Wellner; and grandson Jeromy in June 1998.
   He was born Aug. 11, 1909 in Brown County to Herman A. and Amanda (Gumto) Radtke. He attended schools in North Star Township. He married Alice Kastner Nov. 25, 1941 in Sanborn. They farmed near Cobden until 1946, when they moved to a farm southeast of Sanborn, before moving to Sanborn in 1995. He entered St. John Lutheran Home in January. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn, the St. Thomas Men's Society and the Knights of Columbus Council #2769 in Springfield.

   Adeline Madson, 90, died Saturday, February 20, 1999 at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.

   Margaret (Mrs. Donald) Bruess, 63 of rural Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, February 20, 1999, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
   Services are pending at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

   Adelheid Morgenson, 92 of Evan died Saturday, February 20, 1999 at the Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
