    Charlotte B. Zitzmann, 78, of El Cajon, Calif., and formerly of Gibbon died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999 at her home.
   Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. A parish prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon.
   She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James and Doris Zitzmann of Gibbon, Steven and Carmen Zitzmann of El Cajon, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Myra Culverson of Brainerd; and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by brother, Werner Adamsky; and her husband, Arthur Zitzmann in 1995.
   She was born May 30, 1920 in Kolberg, Germany to Otto and Bertha (Venske) Adamsky. She, her parents and her brother Werner, they immigrated to America in November 1924, eventually settling in Gibbon. She graduated from Gibbon High School. She married Arthur Zitzmann on April 4, 1940, and they farmed in rural Gibbon for nearly 25 years. After leaving the farm they moved to El Cajon, California in 1965. After a few years in retirement, she attended Grossmont Adult College of Nursing and received her nursing license. She worked at Grossmont Hospital, Magnolia Nursing Home and El Cajon Convalescent Center for 14 years. She did volunteer work after fully retiring both in the church and nursing homes. She was a past member of St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Senior Citizens Club in El Cajon, Calif.

   Alan Longley, 48 of Riverside area west of Blackfoot, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near his home.
   Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Blackfoot's Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
   Arrangements are being handled by Packham Mortuary in Blackfoot.
   He is survived by his wife Lois, of Blackfoot, daughter, Anna, son, Zach both of Blackfoot; parents, William and Dorothy Longley of Forest Lake; brothers: Brian (Nancy) Longley of St. Paul, Craig (Kathy) Longley of Coon Rapids, Ted Longley of St. Paul and a grandson, Lucas Alan Longley of Blackfoot.
   He was born on Dec. 16, 1950, in Rochester to William Howard and Dorothy J. (Geddes) Longley. He attended schools at Forest Lake and r graduated from St. Cloud State University with a B.A. in Biology. He married Lois Marie Winter on Aug. 10, 1974 in New Ulm. They moved to Pocatello, Idaho in August of 1979 where he worked as a supervisor at Kraft Foods. They moved to Blackfoot, Idaho in 1990. He was employed at Weight Watchers in Pocatello as team leader of the bakery line since 1991.

   Henry C. Menzel, 81, of Arlington died Feb. 10, 1999 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in St. Paul.
   A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington.
   Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are handled by Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington.
   He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Dan Corbett of Madison, Wis., Peggy Menzel and finance Ed Creagan of Rochester; sons and daughters-in-law Charlie and Noreen of Queensbury, N.Y., Robert and Nancy of Mankato, Michael and Kathy of Edina, Jack and Carol of Elk River; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson.
   He was preceded in death by wife Helen in 1977.
   He was born April 14, 1917 near Hamburg to Reinhold and Lydia (Wroge) Menzel. He attended Arlington Public School. He acquired Geib-Janni Lumber Company in Arlington in 1936 and ran the company until 1987. He married Helen Bancks of Gaylord on July 6, 1940. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Arlington American Legion Post 408, and VFW post 6031. He was past chairman of the Arlington School Board, and was a member of the Arlington Ambulance and Fire departments.

   Jenny Anderson-Heymans, 33 of St. Paul, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999.
   Mass of Christian Burial was Friday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Bloomington with burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
   She is survived by husband Mark Heymans; daughter Kateri; parents Milo and Marilyn Anderson, all of Bloomington; six brothers; mother-in-law and father-in-law Phil and Betty Heymans of Sleepy Eye; three brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
   She was a graduate of Bloomington Kennedy High School; the College of St. Benedict; and obtained a master's degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill. She was a free-lance writer and editor.

   Margaret Syverson, 96 of rural Odin, formerly of Minneapolis, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999 at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake.
   Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour to the service at the church. Arrangements are through Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont.
   She is survived by brother Dean Syverson of Mountain Lake.
   She was preceded in death by brothers Syver, Henry, Albert, and Carl Syverson.
   She was born Aug. 24, 1902 in Butterfield to Amund and Ingeborg (Bolstad) Syverson where she grew up and attended school. The family moved to Cedar Township, Martin County in 1912. She moved to Minneapolis in 1927 and attended beautician school. She worked in defense factories in Minneapolis and California during World War II. She was a beautician in Minneapolis until 1971 when she moved to Helena, Mont. She returned to Minneapolis in 1988. She moved to the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake in 1997. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin.

   Blanche Liebl, 80 of Wabasso died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999 at her home.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in rural Redwood Falls.
   Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by nieces and nephews.
   She was born July 7, 1918 in Vail Township, Redwood County to Martin and Anna (Hardeggar) Magin. She grew up in rural Wabasso and attended District 60 Country School. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1934. She married Carl Liebl at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso on Oct. 14, 1940. They lived in the Vesta and Wabasso area. She worked as a receptionist at the Veterinary Clinic of Dr. N.G. Muller for 38 years, retiring in 1990. She served as Wabasso Village Clerk and was also employed at the former Shrank's Washboard Laundromat in Redwood Falls. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso and the St. Anne's Guild.

   Hulda Lundquist, 94, of St. Louis Park and formerly of St. James died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at Westwood Nursing Home, St. Louis Park.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, St. James.

   Erhardt Stelter, age 76 of Burnsville, formerly of rural Redwood Falls, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.
   Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m.Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by sons, Stanley and wife Linda of Mankato, Jerry of Fairmont; daughter, Dorraine Sullivan and husband Kevin of Burnsville; nine grandchildren; brother, Alvin Stelter and wife Darlene of Echo.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Irene on March 30, 1990; son, Kelvin in 1958; daughter, Rose Ann in 1980.
   He was born on Sept. 7, 1922, to Martin and Elsie (Bendix) Stelter in Echo Township, Yellow Medicine County. He graduated from Echo High School in 1942. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Japan. On June 11, 1948 he married Irene Koehler at Peace Lutheran Church in Echo. They farmed in rural Redwood Falls, retiring in 1985. He has lived in Burnsville with his daughter and family since November 1996. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Redwood Falls and of the August Donner American Legion Post 309 of Belview where he served as past commander. He also was active with the National Farmers Organization.

   James Schroepfer, 46, of New Ulm died Monday, Feb. 22 in New Ulm.
    Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Friday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, with a parish service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by wife, Kari; daughter, Josie of New Ulm; sons Jason and Jacob, both of Comfrey; twin sister, Jean Schmitz of Salinos, Calif.; brothers, Stanley and wife Linda of Comfrey, Paul and wife Linda of Sleepy Eye, Glenn of Sleepy Eye, Curt of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Beth Schroepfer of Lakeland, Kathy and husband Gene Mattson of Riverton, Wyo., Karen and husband Terry Galuska of Rochester; mother and step-father Joan and Dale Abrahamson of Sleepy Eye; mother-in-law Jan and Rod McCormick of Rosemount; father-in-law, Dennis and wife Mary Hoffrogge of Sleepy Eye; brother-in-law, Todd and wife Terri Hoffrogge of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Paige and husband Aaron Reeves of Winsted.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald T. Schroepfer; nephew, Jeremy Schmitz; grandparents, Henry and Marie Braun, William and Bertha Schroepfer.
   He was born July 7, 1952, in Sleepy Eye to Gerald T. and Joan (Braun) Schroepfer. He attended country school and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. He attended Jackson Vocational School for auto mechanics. He worked at Brown County Co-op and Steve's Feed, and he farmed near Comfrey. He also worked for Mathiowetz Construction. Most recently he farmed near Essig and had a trucking operation. He married Kari Hoffrogge on Jan. 17, 1997 in Rapid City, S.D. The couple made their home in rural New Ulm. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
