Edna Palmer, 92, of Winthrop, died Sunday, Feb, 27, 2000 at Winthrop Good Samaritan Center. Services are 11 a.m., Thursday, at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church Thursday. Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, is handling arrangements. She is survived by her brother Abdon Lager and wife Maude of Winthrop; sisters-in-law, Marion Lager of Winthrop and Gertrude Lager of Roseville; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Linton; sister, Agnett Anderson; and brothers, Chester and Allen Lager. She was born May 15, 1907, in Alfsboro Township, Sibley County, to August and Emma (Bergren) Lager. She married Linton E. Palmer on Dec. 10, 1939, on the family farm They farmed near Bernadotte. After Linton's death in 1965, she moved to Winthrop. She worked at Lyle's Cafe and Hands, Inc., Winthrop. She moved to the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in April 1990. She was a member of Bernadotte Lutheran Church, where she sang in the church choir and served with the Ladies' Aid. She held offices in the Order of the Eastern Star. Martha Vonderharr, 83, of Madison, died Tuesday Feb. 29, 2000, at Madison Lutheran Home. Funeral arrangements are pending with Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison. Local arrangements and notifications are being handled by the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. She is the mother of Kenneth Vonderharr of Courtland. Cecilia Speiser, 90, of Clara City, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Clara City Care Center. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Clara Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation starts 4 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Wing Bain Funeral Home in Clara City, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday, She is survived by daughters Elizabeth, Mary Sparks and Joan of Clara City; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul, James and Peggy, John and Dawn, all of Clara City; , eight grandchildren; three great-grandsons; sisters, Annella Rhode of Rochester, Mathilda Rhode of New Ulm; and sister-in-law Katherine Rhode of Rapid City S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents,, her husband in 1995, three infant sons, and son-in-law Robert Sparks. She was born Feb. 1, 1910, in Stoneham Township, Chippewa County, to Albert and Anna (Kramer) Rhode. She attended St. Clara's Catholic School in Clara City. She married Theodore R. Speiser on Jan. 26, 1932, at St. Clara's Catholic Church in Clara City. She became a resident of Clara City Care Center in 1993. She was a. member of St. Clara's Catholic Church and the CCW. Gary Telthoester, 54, of Gaylord, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at his home. Services are 3 p.m. Thursday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord. Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
