Jerel 'Little Woody' Ahrens , 52, of Franklin, died Monday, March, 2004, at his home. Services are 11 a.m., Friday, March 5, at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, with a 7 p.m., parish prayer service at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls; and continues one hour before the service Friday at the church. He is survived by parents, William "Woody" and Sally Ahrens of Franklin; and sister, Sherri Zimmerman of Windom. He was born March 15, 951, in Redwood Falls to William and Celestine (Sally) Kodet. Karen Kastner , 54, of Comfrey died Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Sleepy Eye Hospital. Arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey. Pearl Reyo , 78, of Gibbon, died Sunday, February 29, 2004, at the St. Peter Community Health Care Center in St. Peter. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 7:30-9 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday. Pearl is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law, Karen and Loren Roepke of Cokato; a son, Wayne Reyo; a son-in-law, James Bethke of Coon Rapids; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Donna Raitz of Commerce City, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Ida Raitz of Bird Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond W. Reyo on July 21, 1995; daughter, Carol Bethke; sisters, Ethel Peris, Verlinda Yaunick, Violet Bergmann, and Alvina Hopp; and a brother, Ervin Raitz. Pearl was born on May 13, 1925, in Sumter Township, McLeod County, to William and Agusta (Schiroo) Raitz. On August 10, 1945, she married Raymond Reyo in Morton. They lived in Franklin until moving to Gibbon in 1952. She stayed at home to care for the kids until 1957 when they moved to town. She worked at Goodman's Produce, the Gibbon High School as a librarian through the Green Thumb program, and cleaned the school and the State Bank of Gibbon. She loved to camp around the state of Minnesota. Pearl was once a president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gibbon and took care of the poppies. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Lenore Vetter , 83, formerly of 718 Fourth North in New Ulm, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father John A. Richter celebrating. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, and 7:30-10 a.m., Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid will pray the rosary at 5:30 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. both Wednesday at the funeral home. Lenore is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Vetter of New Ulm, Lucille Vetter Bethune of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a niece, Mary Bethune-Conard and her husband, Pat Conard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nephews, Michael Bethune and his wife, Tami of Novi, Michigan, William Bethune of Chehalis, Washington, Stephen Bethune of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and great-nieces, Laura Bethune and Shelley Bethune both of Novi, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Gordon T. Bethune. Lenore G. Vetter was born on May 30, 1920 in New Ulm to Ben I. and Clara (Wiesner) Vetter. She attended St. Theresa's College in Minneapolis and later attended business college in Minneapolis and St. Paul. She worked as a civilian at the Minnesota National Guard Armory in New Ulm. Her position with the Guards was titled "Brown County Veterans Selective Service Clerk." She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Council.
