   Dr. C. Howard Korth, 81, of New London, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday evening, March 4, 2002, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
   Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm. Burial with full military honors conducted by the New Ulm Veterans Organizations will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at Firle Funeral Home.
   Survivors include his son, Cal Korth of Rogers; daughters, Patricia (Patsy) Cordes a missionary in Jamaica, Marcia Bonham and her husband Judd of New London; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Cal Backer of New Ulm; nieces and nephews; and one surviving pet, his dog Rascal.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois.
   Charles Howard Korth, the son of Dr. Charles and Bertha (Ahle) Korth, was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Crookston. As a child, he moved with his family to New Ulm, where he attended St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School, and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1938. He attended Macalester College in St. Paul, and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, and Northwestern College of Chiropractic in St. Paul. He served three years in the US Army during World War II as an x-ray technician in New Guinea and the Philippines.
   He married Lois Backer of New Ulm on March 20, 1943, in South Carolina. After the war, they made their home in New Ulm where they lived the majority of their lives, until retiring to Green Lake in 1993. They had spent most of their summers at the lake since 1952. A doctor of chiropractic in New Ulm, he originally practiced with his father since 1946, then in his own practice at Korth Chiropractic Clinic located on South Minnesota street, until his retirement in 1992. He belonged to and served as an officer to several state and national chiropractic organizations.
   He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church as a child and then Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm, and in retirement, Peace Lutheran Church of New London. He was a fifty-Year member of American Legion Post 132; VFW Post 1648; the New London American Legion; New Ulm Country Club; founding member of the Little Crow Country Club in, Spicer; New Ulm Rotary Club; Brown County Historical Society; and Brown County Humane Society.

   Alice Huelskamp, 99, passed away on March 3, 2002, at the Clark Fork Valley Nursing Home in Plains, Mont. She was born in Monroe, S.D., on Aug. 31, 1902, to Anton and Jane Benson. On Nov. 11, 1924, she married Eugene Huelskamp. They lived in New Ulm until 1950, when they moved to Bismarck, N.D. Irene worked for the State Auditors office in Bismarck until she retired. In 1990, she came to Paradise to live with her daughter, Rhoda Munsch and be near her other daughter, Susan Flory. Irene was a lifetime member of Catholics Daughters of America. She also volunteered at the Hospital Auxiliary at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck. She loved playing bridge, dancing, quilting and playing her organ.
   Irene is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Rhoda and Leon Munsch or Paradise, Mont., and Susan and Jim Flory of Plains, Mont. She has seven grandchildren, Bruce and Zara Munsch, Missoula, Mont.; Jane and Terry Degen, Belgrade, Mont.; Errol and Jami Munsch, Wichita Kan.; Damon Munsch, Paradise, Mont.; Laura Beller, Moffit, N.D.; Cindy and John Mielke, Plains, Mont.; Gary and Sandra Lammert, Eaton, Colo.; brother, Arthur Benson, Bismarck, N.D.; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
   Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene of 53 years, her parents and two brothers, Leroy and Charles Benson.
   Thank you God for letting us have her for so many years.
   A memorial service will be hold on Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in Plains, Mont.
   Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.

   Hedwig 'Hattie' Becke, 98, of Winthrop, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Gaylord Lakeview Nursing Home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Burial will be in the Winthrop Cemetery.
   Visitation is 5-7:30 p.m. today and continues 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, as well as one hour before services Thursday at the church.
   Hedwig Ida Laura Sommer was born Jan. 16, 1904, in Transit Township, Sibley County, to Herman and Anna (Krueger) Sommer.
   Hedwig is survived by her sons, Delford Becke of Crosslake, and Donald Becke of Winthrop; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

   Ruth Klingseisen, 84, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center.
   Arrangements are pending with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

   James Radloff, age 69, of Hector, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2002, at his home.
   Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2002, at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Hector, with interment in the Hector City Cemetery.
   Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
   James William Radloff was born Dec. 4, 1932, to Lawrence and Emma (Roberts) Radloff. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hector. He graduated from Hector High School in 1952. He was married to Elaine Olson on Aug. 2, 1952.
   Jim lived and farmed in the Hector area his entire life. He had a prize winning dairy herd and numerous times won top dairy herd honors. Jim was president of the Hector Creamery for 25 years and on the board for 40 years. He served on the board of First District Association for 15 years, and on the church board for First Lutheran Church in Hector. He also served on the Renville County ADA board.
   Jim quietly went about his way and touched many lives. He loved to listen to the Twins, Gophers and Northstars on WCCO.
   He was always a very good athlete, playing high school football, basketball, track and baseball. He played town baseball and local softball to age sixty. He bowled in a Monday night league for fifty years. Many hours were spent enjoying horse-shoes and beanbag games. Jim also loved playing cards with family and friends. He was very involved in 4H. He also loved to hunt and fish. He went deer hunting and fishing for many years and enjoyed the time spent with the others in his group. He especially loved to fish with the grandchildren.
   Jim loved a good joke and a hearty laugh. He showed his true courage and grace by just accepting his illness and taking advantage of what time he was given. He appreciated that he was able to spend time with many people.
   James is survived by his wife Elaine of Hector; six children: Diane Churchill and husband Chuck of Chaska, Curtis Radloff of Hector, Wayne Radloff and wife Vickie of Lynd, Michael Radloff and wife Tammy of Hector, Beth Costello and husband Pat of Eden Prairie, and Craig Radloff and special friend Vicki of Brooklyn Park; 11 grand-children: Michelle Churchill, Chad Churchill, Mark Churchill, Steve Gee, Russ Gee, Polly Gee, Jim Radloff, Tim Radloff, Ashley Costello, Tommy Costello, and Sarah Costello brothers: Gilbert Radloff and wife Joyce of Cosmos and Larry Radloff of Hector; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Arvid and Ethel Olson of Minnetonka, Clarence and Neta Olson of Fridley, Alice Olson of Davis, CA, Cliff and Gladys Olson of Aurora, NE, Dee Olson of Minnetonka, Doris Olson of Blomkest, Bill Hauan of Fridley, and Paul and Jo Olson of Bailey, CO; and by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
   Jim was preceded in death by parents, parents-in-law Oscar and Amanda (Ahl) Olson, and brothers-in-law Don Olson, Ervin Olson and Russell Olson.

   Erwin F. 'Erv' Greve, 78, of Redwood Falls, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at his home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in New Woodlawn Cemetery in Pipestone.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
   He is survived by his wife, Lavanda Greve of Redwood Falls; son David Greve of Holland; daughter Debra Johnson of Stillwater; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
   Erwin F. Greve was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Pipestone, to John and Anna (Meier) Greve.
   He served in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 30, 1945, until Dec. 8, 1945; and in the U.S. Army from Dec. 26, 1950, to July 25, 1952.

   Glen P. Meyer, 87, of Mankato died Monday, March 4, 2002, at Mankato Health Care Center.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Mankato.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato and Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Mausoleum.
   He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Mankato; son, Glen Meyer Jr. of Austin; daughter, Janice Ahlness of Windom; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Meyer of Bloomington, Earl Meyer of California, and Warren Meyer of Escondido, Calif; sisters, Erna Nelson of Lafayette, Edith Schiller of New Ulm, and Bonita Covell of St. Peter.
   He was born Oct. 6, 1914, in North Mankato to Paul H. and Flora (Deebach) Meyer.
