   Audrey (Mrs. Harley) Wels, 73, of Route 2 Nicollet died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at the Immanuel - St. Joseph"s Hospital in Mankato.
   Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with burial in the Church Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by husband Harley Wels of rural Nicollet; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Arlo Kuchenbecker of rural Nicollet; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Karen Wels of rural New Ulm, Dean and Kathy Wels of Nicollet; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Lola Enter of Belle Plaine.
   She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
   She was born Jan. 27, 1926 in New Sweden Township, Nicollet County to Otto and Roella (Dallmann) Enter. She married Harley Wels on Nov. 16, 1945 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. After marriage they farmed in Nicollet Township, Nicollet County until 1986 when they retired but continued to live on the farm. She was a life time member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet and was a longtime member of the Ladies Guild at church.

   Ralph P. McNamara, 89, of Mankato, died Friday at the Mankato Lutheran Home.
   Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Madelia.
   Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
   He is survived by his wife Ruth McNamara of Mankato, two daughters, Susan Bruss and her husband James of New Ulm, Margaret Tebben of Willmar, two sons Thomas McNamara and his wife Ruth of Mankato; William McNamara of Mankato; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Heelan and her husband John "Jack" of North Mankato, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by three daughters, a son and a grandson.
   He was born on Aug. 24, 1909 to Patrick John and Mary Ann (Larkin) McNamara in Madelia. He married Ruth E. Nelson on Sept. 15, 1936 in Madelia. He was a farmer, worked construction, and drove school bus for many years in the Madelia area. He then drove semi-truck for Gopher Concrete in Madelia. He also worked driving semi for Guaranteed Gravel and Sand in Mankato, and was also an operator of heavy equipment for the company. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato, the Mankato Moose Lodge and Farm Bureau.

   Delbert "Nig" E. Kuester, 82, died Friday, March 5,1999 at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
   Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation will be from 3-8 pm. on Sunday and from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m Sunday at the Funeral Home.
   He is survived by his wife Kathleen "Kak" Kuester of Sleepy Eye; sons Thomas and wife Lynn Kuester of Osceola, Wis., Kevin and wife Gloria Kuester of Grundy Center, Iowa; grandchildren Chad Kuester, Matt and wife Amy Kuester, and Jason Kuester, two great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Dormandy of Sleepy Eye; many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by brother Alfred; sisters Elsye Harms, Myrtle Berkner and infant granddaughter Amanda Jean Kuester.
   He was born on Dec. 25, 1916 in Sleepy Eye to William and Ida (Voightschild) Kuester. He grew up and graduated from high school in Sleepy Eye. He served in the United States Army Signal Corp. in the South Pacific during WWII. On Sept. 12, 1945, he married Kathleen Youngman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Following marriage the couple lived in Sleepy Eye where he worked in construction. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Benjamin A. Remmele American Legion Post #7, Isaac-Radl VFW Post #800 and the Disabled American Veterans in Sleepy Eye. He was elected in the Sleepy Eye Bowling Hall of Fame.

   Donald Gewerth, 70, died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at the Redwood Falls Hospital in Redwood Falls.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Morton with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Morton.
   Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm. with a parish prayer service held at 7 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Evelyn; daughter Shirley Dove and husband Mark; son Mike Gewerth and wife Lori, all of Morton; four grandchildren; brother Alvin Gewerth and wife Leona of Morton, sister Mary Lou Bailey of Olivia, sister-in-law Helen Gewerth of Morgan and brother-in-law Kenny Elg of Comfrey.
   He was preceded in death by brother Joe and sister, Betty Elg.
   He was born on Feb. 22, 1929 in Sherman Township, Redwood County the son of Alfred and Irene (Revier) Gewerth. He grew up in Sherman Township on the family farm and received his education from country school. On Aug. 23, 1958, he married Evelyn Zeman at St. John's Catholic Church in Morton. They made their home in Morton where he did construction work for 40 years. He worked for Deming Construction in Fairfax, Reynolds Construction and Everstrong Construction in Redwood Falls retiring in 1991.
   He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Morton where he was an usher.

   Grant Christensen, 59, Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at his residence.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
