Broadway, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. today and continues 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a rosary by St. John's Court Catholic Order of Foresters at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. He is survived by his mother Irene Groebner of New Ulm; sister and brother-in-law Judy and Kenneth Zollner of Cohassett; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Judy Groebner of Milwaukie, Ore., Fred and Laura Groebner, Steve and Sherry Groebner, and Patrick Groebner all of New Ulm, and Bernard and Marianne Groebner of Minneapolis; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in 1969 and a brother Anthony Groebner in 1975. He was born July 15, 1960 in Redwood Falls to George J. and Irene (Wersal) Groebner. He graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1978 and then became employed as a full-time mechanic with Kraus Standard in New Ulm. When his brother purchased the business in 1983 he worked there as a full-time mechanic. He purchased the business in 1988, being owner and operator until 1997 when he sold the business. From 1997 until the present he worked at Hutchinson Technology in Hutchinson. He was a player, coach, and umpire in softball and was an active hockey player. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, St. John's Catholic Order of Foresters, and Turner Hall in New Ulm.
