   Juel Reinhart, 76, of New Ulm Mobile Village died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at New Ulm Medical Center.
   Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday at United Church of Christ in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery, Soldiers Rest Section. Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Ulm veterans organizations.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and continues one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, Barbara Reinhart of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Joel Westra of Beresford, S.D.; sons and daughter-in-law, Myles Reinhart of Kodiak, Alaska, Paul and Rae Anne Reinhart of Crookston; grandchildren, Elizabeth Westra, Joey Westra, Ben Westra, and Allison Reinhart; sister-in-law, Donna Reinhart of Crookston; nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by brother, Gerald Reinhart.
   He was born on Nov. 29, 1922, in New Ulm to Leonard Max and Martha (Scheman) Reinhart. He served as a P.F.C. in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. After the service he moved to Crookston and started farming. He married Barbara Freeberg on Feb. 19, 1949, at the Presbyterian Church in Crookston. They farmed until 1967 when they moved to New Ulm. They opened the Oak Haven Mobile Home Park in New Ulm and operated it from 1967 to 1974. He also was a trucker/hauler of mobile homes for the Skyline, Morgan and Barrett mobile home companies for about 25 years. He retired in 1997. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in New Ulm and American Legion Post 132 in New Ulm. He was a charter member of the Flying Dutchmen cycle club in New Ulm and was a past member of the Crookston Square Dancing Club in Crookston.

   Marie (Schumann) Adams, 79 of Tuscon, Ariz., formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at Tuscon Hospice Center Home.
   Private funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beverly Hill, Calif.
   She is survived by son Michael Wersal of Tuscon, Ariz., sisters and brother-in-law, Verna Davis, LaVonne and Carlyle Roberts all of Sleepy Eye; sisters-in-law, Marge Schumann of New Ulm, June Schumann of Anoka; nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Adams; brothers ,Edward, Warren, James, and Leo; two sisters in infancy; brother-in-law, Ossie Davis; sisters-in-law ,Christina and Joan Schumann; niece Kay Davis Gilland.
   She was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Sleepy Eye to Walter and Mate (Raverty) Schumann. She attended Sleepy Eye public school. She moved to Weschester, Calif. in 1942 where she worked for Upjohn division, CPR. She moved to Tuscon, Ariz., upon retirement.

    Caroline C. Clarkson, 47, of St. James, died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospice Unit, Mankato.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, St. James.

   Virgil Koeck, 60 of Melrose Park, Ill., formerly of New Ulm, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999.
   A memorial service is planned for a later date in New Ulm.
   He is survived by wife Christina, stepchildren and their spouses Sharon House, James Fischer, Barbara and Jeffery Zmich, Jerry Fischer, Brenda and Frank Piscopo; sisters and brother-in-law, Vydell and Bud Pockrandt, Charlene Koeck; brother, Joseph Koeck; eight grandchildren.
   He was born Oct. 31, 1938, in New Ulm to Joseph A. and Meta (Wandersee) Loeck.

   Leonard "Stub" Bernardy, 77 of Seaforth died Sunday, March 14, 1999 at his home.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with Sunset Funeral Home in Echo.

   Otto 'Bill' Klein, 63 of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, March 19, 1999 at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

   Harry Roy Nelsen, 79 of Clements died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sundown Lutheran Church in rural Springfield with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are handled by Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
   He is survived by brothers Adolph of Clements, Arno of Hood River, Ore., nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by brothers Henry, William, Hans, Emil, Elner, Alfred, and Edwin; sister Rose Lipetzky.
   He was born Sept. 12, 1919 in Sundown Township, Redwood County to James and Mary (Jacobsen) Nelsen. He grew up on the farm and attended Springfield High School. He entered the U.S. Army in 1941, served in Europe in World War II and was discharged in 1945. He moved to the Twin Cities where he drove a delivery truck for Gopher News for 25 years. He returned to Clements where he farmed and did carpentry. He started a wildlife sanctuary in 1989. He was a member of the Sundown Lutheran Church, the Robert Sykora American Legion Post 519 in Clements and the VFW.

    Elsie Peterson, 94, of Springfield, died Monday, March 15, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
   Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, and continues one hour before services at the church.
   

   Lester Jenkins, 90, of Springfield died Sunday, March 14, 1999 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Church in Springfield. Sturm Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   He is survived by children, Pearl and husband Don White of Springfield, Raymond of Clairmont, Samuel and wife Joanne of Blooming Prairie, Sylvia Saffert of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Krebs of Redwood Falls.
   He was preceded in death by brothers James, Bill, Charles, Leonard, Joseph; sisters Hazel, Clowie, Maude, Nellie, Flossie, Annie, Margaret, Alice in infancy; granddaughter Marie Saffert.
   He was born March 11, 1909, in Mapleton, Iowa to William and Mary Belle (Wheeler) Jenkins. He moved with his family to a farm near Comfrey where he grew up and attended country school. He farmed on the home place then moved to Claremont where he and his son Raymond farmed. He then retired and moved to Blooming Prairie to live with his son Sam and his family. In 1992 he returned to Springfield and became a resident at St. John Lutheran Home. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield.

   Wallace Haas, 74 of Sleepy Eye died Friday, March 12, 1999, in Sleepy Eye.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. and a K.C. rosary at 7 p.m., at the funeral home today.
   He is survived by children, Connie and husband Jeff Johnson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Bunny and husband Jim Smith of Dallas, Texas, Gerry Haas of Moreno Valley, Calif., Patrice and husband Bill Germaine of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., John and wife LuAnn Haas of Sleepy Eye; and eight grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by brother, Lester, and former wife, Marie Haas.
   He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Sleepy Eye to Albert and Florence (Groebner) Haas. He grew up and graduated from high school in Sleepy Eye. At age 16 he started his own printing business in Sleepy Eye, and it became known as the Haas Press. He married Marie Sellner and they were married for 23 years. In 1967, he sold the Haas Press, which eventually became known as Advertising Unlimited, Inc. He owned an employment agency in Minneapolis. He was president of the Lincolnwood Commodities for many years, and worked for the Chicago Board of Trade. He later purchased the John Wallace Co., which his son John operates in Sleepy Eye. He retired in 1992. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Benjamin A. Remmele American Legion Post 7 and the Sleepy Eye Drum and Bugle Corps.

   Arnold C. Lien, 71, of Walnut Grove, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Valley View Manor, Lamberton.
   Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Walnut Grove with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Jacobson Funeral Home, walnut Grove with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
   He is survived by son, Robert of Ballwin, Mo.; two grandchildren; and brothers, Alfred and Norman.
   He was born Aug. 21, 1927, at Downer, Minn. to Christopher and Clara (Jensen) Lien. He served in the Navy from 1944-47. He married Rose Winter in 1948, and she died in 1957. He lived in Nebraska and returned to Minnesota in 1987. He moved to Walnut Grove in 1989. He was a member of the American Legion.
