Second St., Mankato, with burial in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary, 1001 N. Riverfront Drive; and continues one hour before services Friday at the church. Walter 'Wally' Fesenmaier, 79, of 719 Fourth South St., New Ulm died Monday, April 2, 2001 at the Fairfax Community Nursing Home in Fairfax. Arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Beryl Berry, 89, of Jeffers, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Valley View Manor, Lamberton. Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Jeffers with burial in Jeffers Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mabel Hoehne, 90, of Lamberton, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Valley View Manor, Lamberton. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton. Margaret C. Schiroo, 79, of Hutchinson and formerly of rural Stewart, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at her home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fernando, rural Stewart, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and continues one hour before services Saturday at the church. Esther Fenske, 61, of Belle Plaine and formerly of Gaylord, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester. Services are 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine, with burial at 11 a.m. Friday at Arlington Public Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until services Thursday at the church. Fenske-Hayes Funeral Home of Belle Plaine is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband Ronald of Belle Plaine; son: Jerrad of New York, N.Y.; brother, Darwin Sylvester of Rogers; sister-in-law, Ellen Sylvester of LeCenter; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sylvia in infancy. She was born May 6, 1939, to Edwin and Thusnelda (Frauendienst) Sylvester in Gaylord. She attended school at St. John's Mountville and graduated from Gaylord High School in 1957. She attended Mankato Commercial College and worked for the Sibley County Welfare Department. She married Ronald J. Fenske on Sept. 26, 1960, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mountville, rural Gaylord. She worked for the Martin Marrietta Corp. which installed the Titan Missiles in Arizona, the University of Minnesota hydraulic lab on the Mississippi River, Sioux Trails Mental Health Center in New Ulm, and Control Data Corp. in Minneapolis. She also managed the Fenske Funeral Home offices in Belle Plaine, Arlington, and Gaylord. She was a member of the Arlington V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 6031, the Belle Plaine American Legion Auxiliary Post 144, Trinity Ladies Aid, and the Sierra Club. Louis Weerts, 88, of Springfield, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. Thomas 'Tom' Brey, 57, of Winthrop and formerly of rural Lafayette, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm. Todd Hager, 30, of rural New Ulm died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at his home. Arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
