   Agnes Anderson , 91, of Belview, and formerly of Hanska, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Park View Home in Belview.
   Arrangements are pending with Schmucker Funeral Service in Hanska.

   Oren Deterling, 68, of rural Fairfax died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at his home.
   Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.

   Leo Mead, 53, of Lamberton, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton.

   Beatrice M. Schottenbauer, 87, of Fairfax, and formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Fairfax Community Home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the parish cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, and 7:30-10 a.m., Wednesday, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a COF rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish service at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
   A complete obituary will be published Tuesday.

   Nina Selke , 89, of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
   Services are noon, Friday, April 11, at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the M organ City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 11 a.m. to noon at the church. Sturm Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   She is survived by daughters, Joann Lux of Sleepy Eye, Sharon Boeke of Osage, Iowa; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Bert Creaser of Watertown, S.D.;
   She was born Nov. 30, 1913, in Morgan to John Enstine (Reetz) Gluth.

   Gladys Thordson , 100, of St. James, formerly of Hanska, died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in St. James.
   Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, rural Hanska, with Rev. Robert Vedell. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Hanska.
   Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Schmucker Funeral Service in Hanska, and one hour prior to service a the church.
   Gladys Inga Anderson, the daughter of Nels and Anna (Magnuson) Anderson, was born Jan. 7, 1903 in Willmar where she was schooled. Shortly after her father's death, the family moved to Mankato. Gladys married Thor Thordson on July 22, 1945 at Mankato. Together, they made their home and farmed in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County. Following her husband's death in 1967, she continued to live on the farm until moving to St. James in 1983. She was a member of Lake Hanska Lutheran Church and ELCW.
   Gladys dearly loved her family. She enjoyed her time fishing and dancing.
   Survivors include daughter, Beverly Bakke and her husband Jerome of Hanska; son, Leland Johnston and his Judy of Groten, SD; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene, seven brothers and two sisters.
