Egge, 79, died Sunday, April 9, 2001, at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato. Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, St. James, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Ev Houkom of Park Falls, Wis., and Carol and Hal Nelson of Dayton; seven grandchildren; sister, Eileen Van Havermeat of Sauk Centre; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Cecil Stegner. She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Sauk Centre to Clayton and Viola (Wells) Stegner. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School and continued her education in nursing at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She married Iver K. Egge on July 31, 1943, in Duluth. They lived in Churchville, Md., and Japan before moving to St. James. She worked as a nurse for a doctor and was the St. James High School school nurse for 24 years. Ruth E. Siebert, 91, of Faribault, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at the District One Hospital, Faribault. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault with burial in the Springfield Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault and at the church one hour prior to the service. She is survived by children and their spouses, Naomi and Kenneth Matthes of Regina, Canada, Ellie and Jerrell Sharp of Springfield, Mo., Daniel and Carin Siebert of Eagan and Richard Siebert of St. Paul; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Ted and Martin Winter; and sisters, Esther Jensen and Laura Larson. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given in memory of Ruth E. Siebert. She was born on Sept. 11, 1909, in Cumberland, Wisc., to Theodore and Bertha (Gleue) Winter. She married Emil Siebert on Dec. 6, 1935, in Sleepy Eye. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1973. She was employed by Faribault Regional Center and the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf.
