Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop with burial in the Winthrop City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred Knick and Roger Dreier of Glencoe, Hazel and Richard Chycner of Winthrop, Viola and Jerome Renner of Hutchinson, Edna and Gregory Knoll of Elk River, Jeanette and Bill Trantham of Hamburg, Geraldine and Fred Trebelhorn of Winthrop; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Lillian Perry of Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Rettmann; and her brothers, George, Fred, and Bill Perry. She was born on December 23, 1915 in Excelsior to George and Anna (Hrdlicka) Perry. She married Rudolph H. Rettmann on Nov. 29, 1936 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township, Sibley County. After marriage they farmed in Bismarck Township, Sibley County until they retired in 1985. In1987 they moved in to Winthrop. She lived at Oak Hills Living Center since 1996. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Hildegard Hellmann, 86, of Garden Terrace Apartments, #106 in New Ulm, died Saturday, April 10, 1999 at her home. Arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Fred Brink, 73, passed away Friday, April 9, 1999 at his home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Park. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Frost of Minneapolis.
