   Edmund B. Meidl, 74, of Sleepy Eye, died April 17, 1999 in Rochester.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Sleepy Eye with burial in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his six children John and wife Debra Meidl of Evan, Colleen and husband Roman Seifert of New Ulm, Jerome and wife Sue Meidl of Sleepy Eye, Jeri Lynn and husband LeRoy Aasgaard of Benson, Jeffrey Meidl of Fairbault, and Christine Meidl of Sleepy Eye, and nine grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine in 1969, wife Shirley in 1998 and grandchildren, Sarah and Dominic Meidl.
   He was born on Dec. 2, 1924 in Bashaw Township, Brown County, the son of John and Mary (Kotten) Meidl. He grew up and attended country school in Iberia. Edmund married Lorraine Guendner on Oct. 21, 1953. She preceded him in death in 1969.
   He married Shirley Koopmann on May 27, 1972 in New Ulm. He farmed south of Sleepy Eye for many years. He retired and moved to Sleepy Eye in 1990. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an accomplished musician and played the accordian at nursing homes and many family gatherings including weddings and anniversaries. .

   Eula Lee Black, 90, of Lamberton, formerly of Abilene, Tex., died Saturday, April 17, 1999 at the Wabasso Health Care Center.
   Services and burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lamberton Cemetery.
   A private family visitation will be held.
   Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton, handled arrangements.
   She is survived by her daughters Jane and husband John Luttman of Lamberton, Beverly and husband Preston Jarvis of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Mary Ellen and husband Paul Bondhus of Marietta, Ga.; Larry E. Tatum of Abilene, Texas; Lisa and husband Gary Lackey of Abilene, Texas, Shannon and husband Badar Nawar of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lee Ann and husband Wade Wellner of Lamberton; and six great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1962, and her brother Charles Dale Greever.
   She was born Jan. 12, 1909 to Charles and Edith (Berry) Greever. She was a graduate of Central High School in Oklahoma City and Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. She worked as an assistant to the federal court clerk in Oklahoma City before and after her marriage to Alfred Black on Dec. 2, 1933. They lived in Abilene, Texas, from 1937 to 1992, moving to Lamberton to be near her daughter in 1992. She entered the Valley View Manor in December of 1996 and the Wabasso Health Care Center in December of 1997. She was a current member of the First Presbyterian Church in Abilene.

   Victor C. Fritsch, 76, of Rochester, Wis., and formerly of the Winthrop area died Friday, April 16, 1999 at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis.
   Private family services will be held Tuesday with burial following in the Winthrop Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop.
   He is survived by his brother Karl Fritsch of Nicollet and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters.
   He was born on March 25, 1923 in Kelso Township, Sibley County, to George and Anna (Erdmann) Fritsch. He farmed and was employed as a factory worker. He resided in Minnesota until moving to Wisconsin in the mid-1960s. He had been living in Rochester, Wis. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop.

   Arietta Roberts 94 of Sleepy Eye, died April 18, 1999 at Sleepy Eye.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Union Congregational Church, U.C.C., with burial in the Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by her son Carlyle "Loggy" and wife LaVonne Roberts of Sleepy Eye, grandchildren, Lary and wife Vonnie Roberts of Redwood Falls and Rosemary and husband Gene Junker of Redwood Falls, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Bertha Hanson of Sleepy Eye.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew; daughter-in-law, Arline Roberts; great-great grandson, Jake Whitaker; brothers, Carl, Christ, William and Kenneth; and sisters, Johanna, Pearl and Orlean.
   She was born on June 24, 1904 in Sleepy Eye to William and Caroline (Syverson) Hansen. She attended school in Sleepy Eye. She married Matthew Adam Roberts. They lived in Sleepy Eye. She was a member of the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Sleepy Eye. She was also a member of the United Congregational Church Women's Federation, and an Extension group.
