Dennis A. Brudelie , 63, of Orefield, Pa., died Monday, April 19, 2004, at his home. He is survived by wife Nancy; son, Jay; daughter, Jana Brown, both of Allentown; brothers, Alan, Norman, Richard, and Paul of Minnesota; and two grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m., May 8, at the Unitarian Universalists Church of the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem. Arrangements are D.J. Boyko Funeral Home. He was born in Sleepy Eye, Minn., to Olive (Odegard) Hoffman and the late Alvin Brudelie. Erwin 'Pete' Buckentine , 73, of rural Green Isle, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington. Burial with military honors will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, from 4-8 p.m. at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington and Saturday, one hour prior to service at the church. He is survived by his wife, LaVonne of rural Green Isle; children, Julie Nielsen of St. Paul, Nancy Leclerc of Dallas, Texas, Pete Buckentine of Glencoe, Renee Lomman of Alexandria and Karen Rezek of Island of Cypress; nine grandchildren; and sister, Marlys O'Brien of Bloomington. Erwin was born on Sept. 15, 1930, on the family farm in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, Minn., to William and Malinda (Rolf) Buckentine. Gretchen Marie Drugan , 2, of New Ulm died Tuesday, April 20, 2004. Gretchen is the daughter of Dan and Peggy (Pfau) Drugan of New Ulm. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 - 8 p.m., Friday, and will continue from 7:30 until 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and then for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday. Gretchen is survived by her parents, Dan and Peggy (Pfau) Drugan of New Ulm; a sister, Kjerstin Drugan of New Ulm; grandparents, John and Delores Pfau of Mankato and Jan and Manny Drugan of Valley City, North Dakota; great-grandmothers, Gladys Everson of Alamagordo, New Mexico and Nora Marcks of Valley City, North Dakota; and by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gretchen Marie Drugan, the infant daughter of Dan and Peggy Drugan was born on January 17, 2002, in New Ulm. Gretchen enjoyed spending time with her sister, Kjerstin, doing everything that she did. She loved playing with her cousins and neighbor girls, taking stroller rides with her family, playing hide and seek, watching Barney and Dora the Explorer. She was a good mommy to her dolls. She loved being outside, sitting on the steps eating red, white, and blue popsicles, and chasing after the birdies. She was a true "Daddy's Girl" and enjoyed having bedtime stories read to her. She created beautiful artwork that her family treasured. Gretchen was truly a gift, an angel from God and she brought joy to everyone who knew her. Jesus called her home to heaven, from her mother's arms, this past Tuesday. LeRoy H. Neuman , 77, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his home in Sleepy Eye. Funeral services are Saturday, April 24 at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye at 1:30 p.m. with burial at Home Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, and continues Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. He is survived by wife, Dorothy of Sleepy Eye; sons, Stephen Neuman of Naples, Fla., David Neuman of Randolph, Minn., Robert Neuman of Cannon Falls, Minn.; daughter, Marcia Jo Marti of Sleepy Eye; nine grandchildren; sister, LeNora Roundsley of Arden Hills, Minn.; LeRoy Herbert Neuman was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Clear Lake, S.D., to Franklin and Johanna (Olson) Neuman. Elizabeth A. Ter Louw , 92, of Pella, Iowa, passed away Monday, April 19, 2004, at the Hospice Comfort House in Pella. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 22, at the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa. Memorials may be made to Words Of Hope, Trinity Reformed Church, Hospice Comfort House in Pella, Iowa or a memorial of your choice. Elizabeth Alice Boot, daughter of William B. and Alice (Rietveld) Boot, was born February 1, 1912, near Sully, Iowa. She passed away Monday, April 19, 2004, at the age of ninety-two years, two months, eighteen days. On February 22, 1933, she was united in marriage with Simon G. Ter Louw. They farmed in the Sandridge neighborhood for thirty years. To this union two daughters were born, Joanne and Alice. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Joanne and Dean Risius of New Ulm, Minnesota, and Alice and Carroll Rempe of Mooresville, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Terri Risius, Kristi Besse and her husband Robert, Michelle Johnson and her husband Kenneth, and Michael Rempe and his wife Karen; five great-grandchildren, Meghan, Jeremy and Duane Besse, and Daniel and Eric Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Suzie Boot of Pella and Rosa Ter Louw of Grand Junction, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, John, Dick, Armour, and Clarence Boot; and one sister, Helena Van Gorp. Lena Tessmer , 98, of Bloomington, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Presbyterian Health Care Center in Bloomington. Services are 11 a.m., Saturday, April 24, at Grace Evangelical Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in Home Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service. Cleopha Weiss , 89, of Sleepy Eye, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday from 7:30-10 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye on Friday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m. The Clergy will be Fr. Cleopha was born on April 9, 1915 in Bashaw Township, Brown County, Minn., the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Kreitinger) Lang. She grew up and attend school in Sleepy Eye. Cleopha married Roman Weiss on October 26, 1936 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye until October of 1973 when they moved to Paynesville on Lake Koronis. Cleopha and Roman returned to Sleepy Eye in 1989. Roman died on December 11, 1998. Cleopha lived at Countryside Apartments for seven years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a past member of Divine Providence Auxiliary and the CCW. She loved flowers, gardening and fishing. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jerry and Marge Weiss of Sleepy Eye, Alice and Bill Rothfork of Melrose, Carol and Tom Vogl of Monticello, Bob and Rita Weiss of Sleepy Eye, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and sisters, Leona Meidl of Divine Providence Home in Sleepy Eye and Margaret Zenk of Olivia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roman, four brothers and three sisters.
