   Jesse J. Schiller, 92, of Springfield, died Wednesday, April 21, 1999 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
   Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield with burial in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield.
   Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and one
   hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are through Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   He is survived by his Elsie Schiller of Springfield; son, Jerry Schiller of Springfield; grandchildren, Shari Hayes and her husband Robert of Amarillo, Texas; Stephanie Anderson and her husband Todd of Pampa, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by sisters, Olive and Marion Schiller, Laura Eckstein, and Caroline Helget; brothers, Leonard, Roman, and Donald Schiller; two half-sisters, Elsie Fischer and Edith Geibe.
   He was born June 17, 1906 in Albin Township, Brown County to Joseph and Emma (Guttum) Schiller. He attended District 28 country school in Albin Township, Brown County. He married Elsie Streich on Oct. 28, 1935 in Sleepy Eye. After their marriage they farmed together in the Springfield and Comfrey areas from 1935 until 1968, when they moved into Springfield.
   He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield.

   Pastor Earl Amudson, 81, formerly of Lamberton, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at Northfield Hospital.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Lamberton, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Colton, S.D.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton, and one hour prior to services at the church.

   Carol Ann Pitka, 48, daughter of Laura Pitka of New Ulm, died Friday, April 23, 1999 at her home in Norwood.
   Memorial services will be held at a later date in Norwood.
   Local arrangements are being handled by Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.

   Clifford Schwecke, 75, of Gaylord, formerly of Gibbon, died Thursday, April 22, 1999 at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
   Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township, Sibley County with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by wife, Lila Schwecke of Belle Plaine; daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Dave Berg of Kasota; sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis Schwecke of Buffalo, Merlin and Lisa Schwecke of rural Gibbon; nine grandchildren; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Janelle Laabs of Moundsview, Ann and Matthew Winkler of Baldwin, Wis., Patti and Mark Lenzen of Green Isle; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Julie Laabs of Chanhassen, Kurt Laabs, Alan and Kathy Laabs, all of Belle Plaine; six step-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Bob Zuel of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norbert and Noreen Schwecke of Norco, Calif., Warren and Lois Schwecke of Mesquite, Nev.
   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Melba Schwecke in 1987; sisters, Norma Schwecke and Ardella Carlson.
   He was born on July 17, 1923 in Moltke Township, Sibley County to Victor and Johannah (Uetzmann) Schwecke. He married Melba Klitzke on Jan. 16, 1957 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart. After marriage they farmed in Moltke Township, Sibley County. In 1988 he moved into Gibbon. He married Lila Laabs on Jan. 4, 1992 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. After their marriage they resided in Gaylord. In 1998 he became a resident of the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. He was a past member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township and was a current member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord.

   Clarence C. Schiroo, 84, died Thursday, April 22, 1999 at his home.
   Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo Lake, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the church and will continue Monday one hour prior to services.
   Arrangements are with Hughes Funeral Home.
   He is survived by his wife Frieda of Buffalo Lake; son Roger and wife Kathy of Buffalo Lake; daughter Lois Grams and husband Lowell of Gaylord; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Schiroo and Daniel Grams; brothers, Edwin and wife Vonna of Winthrop and Herman and wife Margaret of Hutchinson; sister-in-law Evelyn Schiroo of Gaylord; brother-in-law Walter Rickheim of Winthrop; sisters-in-law, Renatte Anderson and husband Lawrence of Rush City, Esther Krosting, Agnes Krosting, Louise Krosting and Beverly Krosting; many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lester, Rudolph and Herbert; sisters, Mable Rickheim and Lillie Roepke; in-laws, Ben Roepke and Ella Schiroo; brothers-in-law, Paul Krosting, Rudolph Krosting, Reynold Krosting, Felex Krosting and Laverne Krosting; sisters-in-law and husbands, Regena and Fred Kemple and Alma and Daryle Johnson.
