   Keith Ellsworth Reese , of Lafayette, passed away Sunday afternoon April 28, 2002, at his home after suffering from terminal cancer. He was 72 years old.
   Services will be held Saturday, May 4, at First Lutheran Church of Lafayette at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour before the service. Burial with military rites by the Lafayette American Legion will be at First Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lafayette immediately following the service. Pastor Robert Olson will officiate.
   Minnesota Valley Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   Reese was born, August 25, 1929, in Gibbon to Howard and Hulda (Fjell) Reese. He married Joyce Peterson on December 10, 1952, at Minnetonka Beach, MN. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Lafayette.
   Mr. Reese was a professional musician beginning his career at the age 15 with the Eddie Wilfahrt Band. He worked with the Six Fat Dutchmen, Sammy Jensen, Guy DeLeo, Tiny Little, Babe Wagner, Wally Pikal, Karl and the Country Dutchmen, the Keith Reese Trio and many other groups. He also served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1949, earning an honorable discharge, leaving the Army with the rank of Corporal. He continued in the Army Reserve for five more years.
   He is survived by his wife Joyce; children, Roxanne and husband Viren Brown of Foley, MN, Jefferson Reese and Shirley Skaja of Engelwood, CO, Nancy Reese and husband Gary Buckman of Farmington, NM, Jillian Joycechild of New Ulm, MN and Chris and wife Heather Reese of Cottage Grove, MN; grandchildren, Dylan and wife Alisha Swanton, Sarah, Dakota, August and Elspeth Brown; Carly and Sam Peterson; Madeleine Rose Joycechild; Jake Hunter Reese and great-grandchild Kain Swanton; brothers, Milo and wife Georgia Reese of Salem, OR and Farrell and wife Pat Reese of Clinton, IA and sister Joanne and husband Eugene Abraham of Gaylord, MN; sister-in-law Eileen Willemssen of Tucson, AZ. And many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brothers, Darwin, John Neil and Verle.
   In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.

    Grace Janssen92, of Waverly, Iowa, formerly of Gaylord, died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at Bartels Retirement Community in Waverly.
   Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gaylord, with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
   Egesdal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   She is survived by a son, Dale Janssen of Fargo, N.D.; daughters, Shirley Koehn of Waverly, and Virginia Brandvold of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
   She was born Dec. 4, 1909, in Beaver Crossing, Neb. to Chris and Emma (Miller) Reil.
