Services will 2 p.m. Friday, at the Palmyra Covenant Church, Palmyra Township, rural Hector, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and at the church Friday, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her husband, Julian Distad of Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Reggie Cotton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Troy Brovold, Sean Brovold and Matthew Cotton; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son in infancy; a son, Kenneth; and three brothers and five sisters. She was born Dec. 25, 1911, in rural Hector to Carl and Emma (Peterson) Lundstrom. She graduated from Hector High School She received a teaching degree from St. Cloud State. She taught in several area rural schools. She married Carl Julian Distad on Aug. 28, 1947, at Palmyra Covenant Church, Palmyra Township, Renville County, Minnesota. They farmed in Camp Township. She was a Sunday School teacher and active in Ladies Aid. Kenneth Amsden, 53, of Comfrey, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001, at his home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at New Hope Lutheran Church, Comfrey, with burial in Faith Lutheran Cemetery, Comfrey. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Comfrey, and at the church, one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his wife, Chris of Comfrey; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Lesa of Sioux Falls. S.D., Travis and Jennifer Johnson of Comfrey, Chuck Amsden and fiancee Nancy Nybo of Lamberton; daughter, Shandel of Comfrey; one grand daughter; parents, Leslie and Neola of Comfrey; brother, Mike of Cross Lake; sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Randy Haseleu of Springfield; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son in infancy; brother, Gary in 1998; and his grandparents. He was born Oct. 22, 1947, in Comfrey to Leslie and Neole (Schunk) Amsden, He graduated from Comfrey High School in 1965. He served with the U.S. Army until Nov. 1967. He married Elizabeth Holman in 1974. They divorced In 1979. On May 8, 1982, he married Christine Johnson in Comfrey. He was employed by G. M. Construction of Lake Crystal. He belonged to New Hope Lutheran Church, Comfrey. Raymond Sanchez, 59, of Inver Grove Heights, died Monday, April 30, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Paul, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, St. Paul. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at West Funeral Home, West St. Paul. He is survived by wife, Jessie; children, Gina and Ron Thatcher of Carson City, Nev., Raymond Jr. and Theresa of Rosemount, Pamela and finance Andrew Scalia of West St. Paul, Jesse and fiance Marti Kowarsch of West St. Paul, Lisa Meinzer of New Ulm, Navada and Jeremy McGee of Maplewood; six grandchildren; a brother, Steve; sisters, Luci and Reuben Tejeda, MaryAnn and Joe Valtierra, and Franner and Jose; a sister-in-law, Virginia Dill of New Ulm; a brother-in-law, William Dallmann of New Ulm; a mother-in-law, Geraldine Dallmann of St. Peter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia and Steven; and brothers Nicholas and Jesse. He was a graphic arts instructor at St. Paul Technical College for 20 years. He retired in 1997. Dale Gorr, 69, of Gaylord, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at New Ulm Medical Center. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements are pending with Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord. Paul Wagner, 67, of 1104 S. Payne, New Ulm, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at his home. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Richard Filzen, 60, of rural New Ulm died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at his home. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Donna Schoen, 72, of 1117 S. Broadway, New Ulm, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at her home.
