Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and a Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband Michael; children and spouses, Carol and Robert Cibuzar of Duluth , James and Jane of Sleepy Eye, Jerome and Lucy of Eagle Lake, Joan Meyer of Big Spring, Texas, Michael and Dianna of Coon Rapids, Gary and Judy of Bloomington, Charlene Forster of Sleepy Eye, Linda and Dick Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Roger and Cathy of New Ulm, Steven and Annette of Rochester, Susan and Ray Kral of Sleepy Eye and Mary Jo and Robert Hille of Sleepy Eye; 37 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie and Everett Soukup of Sleepy Eye, Adeline and William Harpel of Glencoe; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Forster of Selah, Wash., Agnes Forster of New Ulm, Delrose Forster of Faribault and Mary Turbes of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by sons, Joseph and Paul; brothers, Edward, Louis and Theodore; son-in-law Gilbert Forster and one grandson. She was born Dec. 18, 1910 in Comfrey to Joseph and Sophia (Riederer) Forster. She attended country school. She married Michael L. Goblirsch on Feb. 18, 1935 in Comfrey. The couple made their home in Albin Township, where they farmed for many years. In 1971, they moved to Sleepy Eye and she worked at the Orchid Inn for several years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and the Christian Mothers. Lulu Kramer, 96, of Fairfax, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Fairfax Community Nursing Home. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are handled by Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Evelyn Brauch of Good Thunder, and Adell Kramer of New Ulm, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers. She was born May 21, 1902, in Good Thunder to Ferdinand and Pauline (Wiedenheft) Darge. She attended school at St. John's Lutheran School in Good Thunder. In February 1930 she married Carl Kramer in Good Thunder. The couple farmed on the family farm in Good Thunder until moving to St. Paul, and later New Ulm. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm, honorary member of the Dorcas Society, and a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She became a resident of the Fairfax Community Nursing Home on Dec. 1, 1994. Anton Shebetka, 92, of Sleepy Eye, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999 in New Ulm. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Union Congregational Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. He is survived by his wife Elsie; children, Jerry and wife Florence of Elk River, Marlene Kraus of New Ulm, and Judy and husband Bob Seago of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was born Sept. 4, 1906 in Oldham, S.D., to Rudolph and Tillie (Marek) Shebetka. He moved with his family to rural Sleepy Eye in 1914, where he lived on a farm southwest of town. He started school in South Dakota and later attended country school in Leavenworth Township. He married Elsie E. Blackmore on Feb. 14, 1933 in Kankakee, Ill. For several years he worked at the Sleepy Eye Auction Market in addition to farming. Elmer Koenig, 89, died Monday, May 10, 1999 at Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Zion United Methodist Church, Buffalo Lake, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church and will continue one hour prior to services. Arrangements are with Hughes Funeral Home, Buffalo Lake. He is survived by his wife Verna; children, Marlys Foss and husband Richard of Richfield, Karren Goede and husband Kenneth of St. Louis, and Randall and wife Mary of Burnsville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Martha Rusch of Buffalo Lake; half-sister Myra Lindquist of Olivia; sister-in-law Lucille Moritz of Elkhart, Ind.; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Wilhelm, Herman, Henry; and sisters Dela Ebent and Viola Koenig. He was born June 14, 1909 in Martinsburg Township, Renville County, to Ferdinand and Fredericka (Ebert) Koenig. He grew up in the Buffalo Lake area. He married Verna Moritz on May 27, 1934 in rural Hector. The couple lived in Buffalo Lake. He worked as a carpenter. He was later Director of Transportation at Buffalo Lake Schools for 33 years. He was Buffalo Lake Fire Chief for 11 years. He was twice elected to the Buffalo Lake City Council. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, where he sang in a male quartet. He served as sexton for Zion Evangelical Cemetery. Minnie Boysen, 100, died Monday, May, 10, 1999 at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia. Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia, with burial in Waverly Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by son James and wife Nancy of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers; and two sisters. She was born May 6, 1899 in Truman, to Mons and Siri (Johnson) Olson. She grew up in Truman and graduated from Truman High School. She attended the University of Iowa School of Nursing.She worked as a nurse in Iowa. She married Herbert Boysen on Oct. 3, 1923 in Mankato. They lived in Truman until 1927, Welcome until 1941 and then moved to Madelia. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church , church circles, WELCA, and the sewing circle. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Minnesota Senior Federation. After Herbert died in January 1981, she remained in Madelia and became a resident of Luther Memorial Home in January 1989. Leona Barnes, 96, of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center in Redwood Falls. Services are 10:30 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the New Avon Salem United Methodist Cemetery in New Avon Township. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband Burlyn on Jan. 18, 1952; two children in infancy Darrell and Sandra; four grandchildren; and brothers John, Elmer, Albert, Henry, Ervin and Fredrick in infancy. She was born on July 13, 1902 in New Avon Township to daughter of Fred and Mary (Bill) Hauptli. She grew up in New Avon Township and attended District 8 School. On June 4, 1921 she married Burlyn Barnes at the United Methodist Parsonage in Redwood Falls. They made their home in Redwood County. She was a member of New Avon Salem United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Redwood Falls. Malinda M. Krueger, age 87 or Hutchinson, formerly of Arlington, died May 11, 1999, at Cedar Crest Care Center in Hutchinson. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4-9 p.m. at Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Orville and LaRane of Glencoe, Darwin and Vangie of Grinell, Iowa, Virgil and Arlys of Ogden, Iowa, Raymond and Lucille of Hutchinson, Kenneth and Marlene of Mankato, Harlan and Barbara of Arlington, Ronald and Pamela of Arlington; daughters and sons-in-law Elvera and Herbert Timm of Kewaunee, Wis., Leona and Lowell Thomas of Clinton, Mo., Marlys Mayfield and fiancee Rick Kienietz of Burnsville; brothers Herold Hafemann of Henderson, Lorenz Hafemann of Arlington; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Ernst on May 5, 1982; daughter Mayona; and daughter-in-law Ann Krueger. She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, to Herman and Adeline (Hafemann) Bullert. She attended rural country. On March 26, 1933 she married Ernst H. Krueger in Arlington. They farmed in Dryden and New Auburn Townships until 1973. She moved to the Cedar Crest Care Center in Hutchinson in the early 1990. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Ladies Aid and Senior Citizens.
