Gitter, 86, of Winthrop died Tuesday June 1, 1999 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30- 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop and continues one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. A complete obituary will appear in tomorrow's edition of The Journal. Frank Schroepfer, 81 of New Ulm died Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Services are 12:30 p.m. Friday at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery, New Ulm. Visitation is one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995. He was born Nov. 22, 1917 in New Ulm to John and Anna (Schroepfer) Schroepfer. He attended school in New Ulm. He married Bessie Ristau on Oct. 21, 1942 in Hollendale. They lived in New Ulm where he worked for Miller Construction, Montgomery Ward, Heymann Construction and Herberger's department store until retiring in 1979. He became a resident of Oak Hills Living Center in February 1998. He was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Margaret Schwartz, 82, of Mankato died Monday, May 31, 1999 at Nancy's Comfort Kare. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church in Mankato with burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 6 p.m.at Landkamer's Johnson-Boman Funeral Home and continues one hour before the service at the church. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Cathie and Wayne Frederick of McMinnville Ore.; brothers; Louis Kosak of Hudson, Wis; Richard and wife Arlene Kosak of Mankato; Eloy Kosak of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Agnes Feierer of St.Louis Park, Dorothy and husband Edwin Polesky of Sleepy Eye; one grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband. She was born March 3, 1917 at Graettinger, Iowa, to Louis and Elizabeth (Csukker) Kosak. She married Marvin Schwartz on June 8, 1936 at Fairfax. They lived in Fairfax and moved to Mankato in 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Catholic Church. Clarence Kottke, 88, of Gaylord, died Wednesday, June 2, 199, at Gaylord Lakeview Home. Arrangements are pending with Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord.
