   Stanley 'Stan' Bushard, 81, of 1216 S. Washington St., in New Ulm, died Saturday June 10, 2000, a Sleepy Eye Care Center.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4 8 p.m. today and will continue 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a rosary by the St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Council at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his wife, Marcella Bushard of New Ulm; daughters, Lois Schreyer of New Ulm, Connie Kloeckl of rural Hanska, and Judy Fullerton and her husband, Rick of Chaska; sons, Greg Bushard and his wife, Agnes of New Ulm, Gordy Bushard and his wife, Connie of rural New Ulm, Ron Bushard and his wife, Linda of New Ulm; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Berg of New Ulm, Gertrude Klaras of Webster, and Jeanette Domeier and her husband, LeRoy of New Ulm; brothers, Walter Bushard and his wife, Violet and Edward Bushard and his wife, Lorraine all of New Ulm; and brother-in-law, LeRoy Kaufman of Glencoe.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Randy Kloeckl; sister and brother-in-law, Forella and Clifford Smasal; sister, Arlene Kaufman; and by brothers-in-law, Alex Berg and Dick Klaras.
   He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County, to Joseph and Angelica (Seifert) Bushard. He attended school in St. George. On June 21, 1944, he married Marcella Hauser at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They farmed in West Newton Township, Nicollet County, for four years and in Courtland Township, Nicollet County, for 24 years, when they retired and moved to New Ulm. He worked for the Courtland Elevator for a short time beforeworking for Forester Welding in New Ulm, where he worked until 1981. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Council. He had been a resident of the Sleepy Eye Care Center since March 2000.
   

   Bertha E. Schulz, 79, of Winthrop, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Winthrop, with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-8 a.m. Friday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop., and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Friday.

   Eleanor (Mrs. Elmer 'Butch') Pehling , 76, of rural Nicollet died Sunday, June 11, 2000, of leukemia at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
   Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Courtland, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
   She is survived by her husband, Elmer "Butch" Pehling of rural Nicollet; daughters, Audene Greenwald and her husband, Rene of Waterville, Joyce Schmidt of Fairmont, Wanda Domeier and her husband, John of St. Clair; sons, Willard Pehling and his wife, Darlene of Walker, Allan Pehling and his wife, Nancy of Keewatin; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harley "Pete" Wills and his wife, Arline of Courtland.
    He was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Louis and Willard Wills.
   She was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Granby Township, Nicollet County, to Louis and Anna (Stolt) Wills. She married Elmer "Butch" Pehling on Oct. 15, 1942, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. They farmed in Courtland Township, Nicollet County. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Courtland. She had been in failing health since September 1999.

   Elsie M. Michels, 85, of rural Nicollet, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at St. Peter Community Health Care Center.
   A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nicollet with burial in the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Middle Lake.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
