   Jess Jones, 54 of Norman, Okla., and formerly of Redwood Falls died Monday, June 21, 1999 in Redwood Falls.
   Services are 1:30 Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Karen of Norman, Okla.; children and spouses, Susan and David Zaske of Renville, Steven and Johann of Noble, Okla.; Sherry of Redwood Falls and Sarah and Mile Skinner of Killeen, Texas; six grandchildren; brothers and their wives Larry and Donna of Martensville, Ind.; David of Indianapolis; sister Betty and her husband Ed Breeden of Indianapolis; and mother-in-law, Gladys Bailey of Redwood Falls.
   He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters in infancy.
   Jess Herbert Jones, Jr. was born March 20, 1945 in Indianapolis, Ind., to Jess and Dorothy (Graham) Jones, Sr. He resided with his family in Indianapolis where he attended schools. He entered the military and served in Korea and Germany. On Nov. 27, 1964, he married Karen Bailey in West Germany. They resided in Germany; Redwood Falls; Fort Bragg, N.C.; Okinawa, Japan; Fort Riley, Kan.; Fort Hood, Texas; and returned to Redwood Falls. In 1986 when they moved to Norman, Okla. In 1997 he retired from the military, Army Reserve. He worked as an insurance sales and pastor of a non-denominational church.

   Alvin Runck, 85, of Springfield, died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Springfield United Methodist Church with burial in Springfield City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 7:30-9 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, and continue one hour before services Thursday at the church.
   He is survived by wife Alpha Runck of Springfield; children, Joan and husband Ken Schultz of Spicer, Robert and wife Glenda Runck of Springfield, Mary and husband Joe Jansky of Clear Lake; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Harold and wife Marguerite Runck of New Ulm; and sister Phyllis and husband Arley Rolloff of New Ulm.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and wife Nora, Roy and wife Lillian, Ervin and wife Agnetta; sister Minnie and husband Bert Timm.
   He was born June 25, 1913 in North Star Township, Brown County, to Phillip and Bertha (Kosel) Runck. He attended District 83 Country School in North Star Township and Springfield High School. He married Alpha Rongstad on Sept. 25, 1935 in Redwood Falls. They farmed until 1994 when they moved to Springfield. He was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church and the District 83 School Board.

   Lester C. Clark, 65 of Winthrop died Monday, June 21, 1999 at his residence.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bismarck Township, Sibley County, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop; and continues one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. There will be a prayer service on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

   Herbert C. Saunders, 70, of rural Odin, died Sunday, June 20, 199, at Fairmont Community Hospital.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin, with burial in the church cemetery.
    Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour before services at the church on Wednesday.
   He is survived by wife Ardis Saunders of rural Odin; sons, Keith Saunders and friend Gloria of rural Odin, Mark Saunders and wife Jill of rural Odin, Paul Saunders of rural Butterfield, Doug of rural Odin; six grandchildren; brothers Merle and wife Mildred Saunders of New Brighton, Butch Saunders of rural Odin, Robert and wife Libby Saunders of Green Bay, Wis.; sisters Doris (Sandy) and husband Art Lambert of Arcadia, Calif., Glenna Shanley of Sun City West, Ariz., Mary Anne and husband Dr. Alan Fried of Livingston Manor, N.Y., Norma and husband Robert Brolsma of rural Sherburn; brother-in-law Lee Eng and wife Georgia of rural St. James; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Hershel, Delmar and Errol Saunders.
   He was born Dec. 9, 1928 to Onis and Anna (Anderson) Saunders on the family farm in Emmet County, Iowa. He attended schools in Ringstad, Estherville and Dolliver where he was a 1947 graduate. On March 29, 1952 he married Argis Eng at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin. They farmed in Odin Township. He also did custom silo filling . He was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church where he served on various church boards.

   Naomi Cashette, 86, of Dumont, Iowa, and formerly of Sanborn, died Monday, June 21, 199, at Franklin General Hospital, Hampton, Iowa.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton.
