Leraine (Mrs. Harlan) Bruns , 68, formerly of rural Gibbon, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. George H. Lochner , 92, of the Ross Park Apartments in Sleepy Eye died Monday, June 23, 2003, at his home. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. , Thursday, June 26, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. George is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Marlys Lochner of rural Sleepy Eye; a granddaughter, Kay Ruden and her husband, Brad of Bruce, South Dakota; great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Ruden; a sister, Alice Zaske of Wadena; and a sister-in-law, Inez Lochner of Sleepy Eye. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther E. Lochner on March 11, 1997,; sisters, Hertha Deinken, Ida Watschke, Elma Neyers; and brothers, John, Edward, Arthur, Hugo and Elmer Lochner. He was born on October 26, 1910, in Home Township, Brown County to William and Ida (Zimanski) Lochner. He married Esther E. Krenz on March 17, 1936, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage they farmed in Prairieville Township, Brown County, and later in Home Township, Brown County. They retired in 1967 and then moved to Sleepy Eye. He also did carpentry work. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye.
