   Viola Mae Maasch, 69, of rural Vesta died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 at her home.
   Services are 1:30 P.M. Saturday, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vesta with burial in the Vesta Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and continues Saturday one hour prior to services at the church in Vesta. There will be a prayer service this evening at 7 o'clock at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo.
    She is survived by her husband Bud; daughter, Robin Oman of Owatonna; and a son Jay Maasch and his wife Jan of Minneapolis.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers.
   She was born Aug. 10, 1929 in Beaver Falls Township, Renville County, Minn., to Alvin and Hazel (Fenton) Knisley. She grew up in the Redwood Falls and Morton area. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1947. She worked for Ehlers Clothing Store in Redwood Falls for four years. On August 24, 1951 she married Werner "Bud" Maasch at the Church of Christ in Redwood Fall. They lived on a farm near Vesta in Redwood County. She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Vesta, where she taught Sunday School and belonged to the Ladies Aid. She also belonged to the One Night Out Club of Vesta.

   Cornelius 'Zim' A. Huiras, 85, died Wednesday, June 23, 1999 in Sleepy Eye.
   Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel, Sleepy Eye, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Divine Providence Community Home Chapel, Sleepy Eye.
   Arrangements are being handled by Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.
   He is survived by his brother, Roman of New Ulm; sister, Bernetta Hauser of New Ulm; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wendelin, Marcellus, Celestine, Tom and Cletus; sisters, Catherine Toussaint and Veronica Maurer; and two infant brothers.
   He was born Jan. 30, 1914 in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, to Michael and Annie (Gunderman) Huiras. He attended country school. He worked on the family farm, where he became well-known for his skill in handling horses. He also worked as a farm hand in the Sleepy Eye area and near Winger. He worked at Pietrus Foods in Sleepy Eye and ran his own farm in Todd County near Long Prairie. He became a resident of Divine Providence Community Home in 1976. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
