Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Goodhue with burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and continue Thursday one hour prior to the time of services at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home handled arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Red Wing; children, Christine (John) Beckmann of Wabasha, Beth (Keith) Madsen of Goodhue, David Hopman of Red Wing, Linmarie (David) Cataract of Red Wing, Sara (Brad) Ramthun of Eagan and Heidi (Rodney) Arnold of Myrtle Beach, SC; 14 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and one sister, Dorothy (Duane) Bode of New Ulm. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Linda Hopman. He was born March 7, 1931, in Odin, to Albert and Della (Wacker) Hopman. He was a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther High School and College in New Ulm. He married Dorothy Goelz on Aug. 3, 1952, in Cudahy, Wis. They lived in Menomonie, Wis. where he was the principal and techers at St. Paul's Lutheran School. He was also the church organist and music director. They moved to rural Goodhue in 1958. He was principal and teacher at St. John's Parochial School. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Goodhue, where be served as choir director and organist for 30 years retiring in 1983. He continued working as choir director and organist after retirement. Hulda Witte, 93, of Hector, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Renville County Hospital in Olivia. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and continues for one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. She is is survived by her children Eileen (John) Raforth, Donna (Herb Nelson) Piehl and Harold (Joan) Witte; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin Radloff,and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, and her brother Lawrence. She was born July 15, 1907, in Melville Township, Renville County, Minnesota, to Frank and Bertha (Hochsprung) Radloff. She grew up in the Hector area, and attended District 100 School. She married Herbert Witte on June 26, 1928, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Parsonage in Hector. They lived in Hector. She was active in many clubs, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Walter H. Juhnke, 87 of 922 S. Washington St., New Ulm, died Monday, June 25, 2001 at Oak Hills Living Center. Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial to follow in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and 7-9 a.m. Thursday at the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm, and one hour prior to services at the church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of New Ulm; son, Tom Juhnke of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jay Behrens of New Ulm; grandchildren, Chris, Tim, and Gregg Juhnke; two great-grandchildren, Alan and Jasmine Juhnke, all of New Ulm; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. He was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Beach, N.D., son of August and Alvina (Berberich) Juhnke in Beach, N.D. As a child, he moved with his family to New Ulm, where he attended public school. After his schooling, he attended the Civilian Conservation Corps camp in Goosebury Falls. Upon his return to New Ulm, he worked for the New Ulm Brick and Tile Yard. He married Margaret Lingenhag on Aug. 16, 1939, at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church parsonage. He worked for the Eagle Roller Mill and the August Schell Brewing Company for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was active in C.A.S.T., which awarded him the Excellence in Dedication Award in March 2001. He was a member of the Golden Age Club; and a volunteer with R.S.V.P. (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and P.R.O. (People Reaching Out). He received the Outstanding Senior Citizen award for Brown County in 1976. LaVon Willock, 84, of Madelia, died Tuesday, June 25, 2001, at Lutheran Memorial Home, Madelia. Arrangements are pending with Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia. Mildred Colberg, 95, of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before services Saturday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard in 1993, a twin sister Margaret in 1922, and a sister Dorothy in 1987. She was born on Aug. 25, 1905, in Buffalo Prairie Township, Rock Island County, Ill., to Elmo and Harriet (Miller) Hessman. At age 14, she and her family moved to Minnesota. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1924 and teachers training in 1925. She married Willard Colberg on May 23, 1928 in Redwood Falls. They lived on a farm in Delhi Township, Redwood County until 1982 when they moved into Redwood Falls.She worked at Montgomery Ward in Redwood Falls from 1928 until retiring in 1943. She was a member of the Delhi Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the Women's Association and was a Sunday school teacher for 45 years.
