Joseph Guetter , 97 of Wabasso, died June 25, 2004, at the Wabasso Healthcare Center. Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday, with a rosary and prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at the church and continues one hour before services, also at the church. Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Kulow Funeral Service, of Redwood Falls, is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Wabasso; daughters: Margaret Schueller of Tyler and Theresa Schefers of Kimball; sons: Joseph Guetter of Panama City, Fla., Thomas Guetter of Bloomington, David Guetter of Commerce, Ga., Francis Guetter of Wabasso, Michael Guetter of Hutchinson and Ronald Guetter of Willmar; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brothers: Alois Guetter and Alphonse Guetter of Wabasso; and sisters: Katherine Tinglehoff of West Point, Neb., Theresa Fischer of Wabasso. Joseph Anthony Guetter was born February 18, 1907, in Vail Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Joseph and Amelia (Hoffmann) Guetter. Betty Hillesheim , 69 of Gaylord, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Arlington, with interment in the Gaylord Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before services today at the church. Egesdal Funeral Home handled arrangements. Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Schneider) Hillesheim was born October 31, 1934, in New Ulm, Minn., to Peter and Julia (Sturm) Schneider. She attended Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm, graduating in 1952. Betty was united in marriage with Lyle Hillesheim on August 26, 1953, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Betty worked at various jobs throughout their marriage. She especially enjoyed caring for her family. Betty and Lyle lived In various towns before moving to Gaylord. In 1984, they moved to Emily, where they owned and operated The Call of the Loon Resort. In 1994, they sold the resort and continued to live by the lake. In January of 2002, they moved to Gaylord to be close to family and friends. Betty was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Gaylord. She belonged to many clubs. She enjoyed golfing, fishing. playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle on Sept. 26, 2002; her parents; brother, Jerome Schneider; and sisters, Rita Braulick and Martha James. Betty is survived by her children, Mark Hillesheim and his wife, Deb of Buffalo, Minn., Greg Hillesheim and his wife, Regina of Eagan, Minn., Vicky Goettl and her husband, Joe of Mankato, Minn., Lynn Tommelleo and her husband, Tom of New Castle, Pa., Lori Martens and her husband, Kevin of Gaylord, Minn., and Jan Bratsch and her husband, Everett of Glencoe, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers and sisters, Delores Groebner of New Ulm, Joseph Schneider and his wife, Audrey of New Ulm, Peter Schneider of New Ulm, Minn., Lucy Waldrep of Texas, Marie Wiltscheck of Gibbon, Francis Schneider and his wife, Carol of New Ulm, and Madlyn Halvorson and her husband, Herb of Hanska; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Charles Larson , 73, of Hanska died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at his home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska. Burial with full military honors conducted by the New Ulm veterans organizations will follow at the New Ulm City Cemetery.
