Quinlivan, 44, of Tracy, died Saturday, July 3, 1999, of a heart attack at the Tracy Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tracy United Methodist Church, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral in Sioux Falls, S.D., with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sioux Falls. The Jacobson Funeral Home in Tracy and the Miller Funeral Home i nSioux Falls are in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of Trcy; a son, Michael, and daughter, Caitlin, at home; a brother, Jack Quinlivan of Winnebago, and a sister, Jean Smith of Sioux Falls. He was born Nov. 7, 1954, in Sioux Falls to James and Patricia (Workman) Quinlivan. He graduated from O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls in 1973, and graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1978 with a B.S. in Political Science. He then attended American University to receive his MBA in international development. He married Patricia Dodge on Sept. 20, 1980, in Sioux Falls. After graduating from American University, he attended Santa Clara University, where he received his MBA. He worked in hospital administration at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, Calif., until 1986 when he moved to Sioux Falls, where he worked as director of Operations/Administration Services at University Physicians. HE then worked from 1992 to 1994 as Health Service Administrator for the South Dakota Department of Corrections. In 1994 he moved to Tracy, where he began work as Chief Executive Officer of the Tracy Area Medical Services, where he was currently employed. In 1997 he also became CEO for the Westbrook Health Center in Westbrook. He was involved in many different organizationss, icnluding the Minnesota Hospitals and Health Care Partnership; Sioux Valley Hospital and Heath System; Health Network, Operations Committee; National Rural Health Caren Association, MediSota, and the Economic Development Authority in Tracy. Fred E. Krohn, 77 of Lake City died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran church in Lake City with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. He is survived by his wife; sons Bruce and wife Debra of Inver Grove Heights, and Bradley and wife Terri of Coeur D'Lene, Idaho; daughters, Constance and husband James Burow of Steven's Point, Wis., Melanie Odim of Rochester, Amy and husband David Hayes of Hickory, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Walter and wife Wanita of Courtland, Marlen and wife Darlene of New Ulm; sisters, Helen Kettner of Nicollet, Ardella and husband Herbert Engel, Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He was born April 14, 1922 in Nicollet to Fred and Theresa (Enter) Krohn. He grew up in the Nicollet area and married Elenore Stolt on May 23, 1943 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. After they were married they farmed in the Nicollet area for 27 years. In 1969 they sold the farm and moved to Lake City. He worked at A. E. Pistons in 1989. He also owned and operated the Coach Light Motel. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. Elva Kersten, 87, of Springfield, died Sunday, July 4, 1999 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Roger William Wells, 59, of Victoria, formerly of Lamberton, died Friday, July 2, 1999 at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will also continue for one hour prior to the church service Tuesday. Wallace Melzer, 76, of 2526 South Bridge Street in New Ulm died Sunday, July 4, 1999 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
