   Carl Engesser, 47, of Redwood Falls and formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at St. Cloud Hospital.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Springfield.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and a men's rosary at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
   He is survived by friend Karen Pamp of Redwood Falls; parents Milo (Mike) and Carol of Springfield; sisters, Deb and husband Joel Janni of Springfield and Connie and husband Mike Ryan of New Ulm; maternal grandmother, Julia Fallstone of Springfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl Fallstone; and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Olive Engesser.
   He was born May 23, 1952, in Pipestone to Milo and Carol (Fallstone) Engesser. The family moved to Tracy, then to Springfield. He graduated from the eighth grade at St. Raphael's Catholic School, where he was a mass server. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1970 and worked at Ochs Brick Company. He moved to Redwood Falls in 1981 to work for Cold Springs Granite Company. He was a former member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. He was a member of the First Minnesota Volunteers and the Black Powder Gun Club.

   Palmer Bush, 85, of Windom, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at Sogge Good Samaritan Center, Windom.
   Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Jeffers United Methodist Church, with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Windom.
   Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Chapel, Jeffers, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
   He is survived by his children and their spouses, Marrel and Bobby Bush of rural Lamberton and Luinea and Jim Caldwell of Brandon, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and son-in-law Al Quade of Wells.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter Laree; brother Glen; and sister Edith.
   He was born Oct. 19, 1913 in Excelsior Township near Lake Park, Iowa, to Elmo and Susie (Palmer) Bush. He received his education in Iowa. For a few years he sold vacuum cleaners and then began to farm. He married Leone Mildred Ihnen on March 22, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa. They farmed in Iowa before coming to Minnesota in 1946. They settled in Germantown Township north of Jeffers. In 1975 he retired from farming. His wife died March 3, 1993. In October 1998 he moved to Sogge Good Samaritan Center, Windom. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church until it merged with the United Methodist Church in Jeffers. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was also instrumental in the development of the Schoper-Bush Reservoir north of Jeffers.

   Bernice O. Nordby, 92, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at Fairfax Community Nursing Home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, with burial in Hauges Cemetery, Camp Township, Renville County.
   Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, and will continue Saturday one hour prior to services at the church.
   She is survived by daughter, Janet Egeland and husband David of Worthington; son, Kenneth and wife Verjean of Mankato; grandchildren, Kevin Egeland of Los Angeles, Calif., Julie Toomey and husband David of St. Louis, Mo., Jessica Nordby of Mankato, Justin Nordby and wife Maria, Matthew Nordby and Daniel Nordby and fiancee Cheynne, all of Mankato; great-grandchildren, Cathryn and Nicolas Toomey of St. Louis; and sister Orna Odegard of Fairfax.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; and sister Agnes.
   She was born Sept. 13, 1906 in Camp Township, Renville County, to Bernhard and Thea (Hanson) Lee. She grew up in Camp Township, where she attended country school. She worked at the Franklin Drug Store and taught piano lessons. She married Morris Nordby on Aug. 31, 1932, in Renville. They farmed for 14 years in Bandon Township, Renville County. In 1946, they moved to Fairfax. Morris died Sept. 3, 1989. She moved to Fairfax Community Home on March 26, 1997. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Fairfax, where she was active with the W.E.L.C.A.

   Rolland Macht, 69, of rural Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at Douglas County Hospital, Alexandria.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Seaforth.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and will continue Monday one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a parish prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
   Sunset Funeral Home, Echo, is handling the arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife Liela; daughter Carol Baune and husband Robert of Morton; grandchildren, Tony of Garfield and Tim and Tammy of Morton; and sister Shirley Mathiowetz and husband Joe of Sleepy Eye.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Delores Hoffmann; and daughters, Donna Mae in 1957 and Audrey Ann in 1962.
   He was born April, 28, 1930 near Lucan to Frank and Theresa (Burtzel) Macht. He grew up on a farms near Lucan and Seaforth. He attended country school. On Aug. 4, 1952, he married Liela Fonken in Seaforth. They farmed in rural Seaforth until 1978 when they moved into Seaforth where they operated the Seaforth Grocery Store until 1988 when they moved to a farm northwest of Redwood Falls. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls, and he had belonged to the Seaforth Booster Club.

   Edmund H. Sellner, 90 of Sleepy Eye died July 6, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
   Services will be 11 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
   Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye was in charge of arrangements.
   He was born Oct. 24, 1908 in Albin Township to Christopher and Marianna (Schloegl) Sellner.

   Leonard Merth, 92, of Wabasso, died on Thursday, July 8, 1999, at,Wabasso Health Care Center.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wabasso with burial in the church cemetery with military honors by the Wabasso Legion Post 263.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m.today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and continues Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Nelson Funeral Service of Redwood Falls handling arrangements.
   He is survived by children, Gretchen Fleck and husband Gerald of St. Paul and Gregory Merth and wife Jean of Crystal; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his wife Anna on July 8, 1992; and sisters, Calverna and Shirley.
   He was born June 11, 1907 to John and Mary (Smith) Mert in Wabasso. He graduated from Wabasso High School. On June 19, 1934 he married Anna Estella Sanford in Park Rapids. They lived in Wabasso where he was a salesman. He retired in 1972. He served in the Army during World War 11. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was one of the founders of the Wabasso Museum and was a director on the Beneficial Society. He belonged to the Wabasso Legion.
