   Edward 'Ed' Manderfeld, 95, of Redfield, S.D., and formerly of New Ulm , died Monday, July 17, 2000, at the Beverly Healthcare Center in Redfield.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 7:30-10 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
   A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday's edition.

   Norma Anderson, 81, of Hanska, died Monday, July 17, 2000 at home.
   Services are pending with Firle Funeral Home, Hanska.
   Services will probably not be held for several week. A full obituary will appear when arrangements are made.

   Lorance Geske, 67, of Wabasso, died Monday, July 17, 2000 at home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Wabasso, with burial 5 p.m. in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

   Ruth Oswald, 95, formerly of New Ulm, died May 5, 2000, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
   She is survived by son, Keith of Sedona, Ariz.; daughter, Shirley Panagini of Colorado Springs; sisters, Ellen Kilbey of Fort Worth, Texas, Winifred McDonald of Riverton, Wyo.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert.
   She was born Aug. 2, 1904, in New Ulm to August and Anna (Dietz) Hummel. She graduated from New Ulm High School, Mankato Teachers College. She taught in rural Brown County.

   Esther Zimmerli, 101, of Redwood Falls, died Monday, July 17, 2000,at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center.
   Arrangements are pending with Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls.
