   James Boutwel, 77 of Madelia died July 22, 1999 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Madelia Church of Christ with burial in the Riverside Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife; daughters Leann and her husband Dan Schrader of Truman, Barbara and her husband Steve Henry of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sons Glen and wife Katherine of Madelia, Dale and wife Anna of Warrensburg, Mo., and Neal of Madelia; seven grandchildren, and sister Margaret and her husband Norm Miller of Rock Spring, Wis.
   He was preceeded in death by his parents and a brother.
   He was born Aug. 15, 1921 to Elgin and Francis (Hoaglund) Boutwell in Kasota Township, Le Sueur county. He grew up on the family farm, attended country schools and graduated from Kasota High School. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater, 1942-1945. He married Ada Misner Nov. 20, 1955 in Mankato. They lived in New Ulm, then for 30 years in rural Hanska, and since 1987 in Madelia. He worked 28 years for Kraft Foods and also farmed. He retired in 1983. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Madelia and is a former member of the VFW in Hanska.

   Orda P. Anderson, 91 of Evan died Thursday, July 22, 1999 in Fairmont.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan with burial in the Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by her children, Audrey Riebel of Burnsville, Victor and wife Evie Anderson of Fairmont; daughter-in-law Donna Anderson of Even, 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bernice Hanson of Fairfax, Irvin Larson of Minneapolis, Inga LaDue of Billings, Palms (Polly) and Harlan Sievertson of St. Louis Park; nieces and nephews.
   She was preceeded in death by her husband in 1989; sons James in 1957 and LeRoy in 1999; grandson Daniel Riebel in 1982; son-in-law Charles Riebelk in 1973; brothers, Manfred and Stanley.
   She was born April 20, 1908 in Fairfax to Pedar and Olena (Boyum) Larson. She grew up and attended country school near Fairfax. She worked as a nanny in White Bear Lake, Detroit, Mich., and later in Fairfax. She married Lloyd Anderson Aug. 20, 1932 in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in Franklin and Winnebago before moving to Evan in 1941. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan where she was active in WELCA.

   Father Richard Jerome Riordan, 75, of St. James, died Thursday July 22, 1999, at St. Elizabeth's Nursing home in Wabasha.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in the St. James Catholic Church, St. James. A parish prayer service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, in Windom. Military graveside honors will be presented by the St. James American Legion Post No. 33 and VFW Post No. 1914.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Monday at the St. James Catholic Church in St. James.
   He is survived by brother, Vincent Riorden, of Windom; nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
   He was born Feb. 9, 1924, to Edward and Bertha (Lauck) Riordan in Windom. He attended public school in Windom and graduated from St. Mary's College with a BA degree.
   He received his seminary training at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona and at St. John's in Collegeville. He was ordained on May 31, 1960 at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart with Bishop Edward Fitzgerald officiating.
   His career as a priest spanned 36 years and included appointments in the following areas: Jackson, Albert Lea, St. James, Rochester, Millville, Lanesboro, Wykoff, and Windom.
   He also served in the Army in 1944 and 1945 during WW II. He retired as a priest in May of 1996.

   Marilynn Riebel, the "Mari" of the Marimel Greenhouse in LeSueur which has supplied the flowers for Heritagefest, died Tuesday in Abbot Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was 60 years old.
   The flowers hanging from pots and sprouting from tubs along the ground give the festgrounds that festive look. And for years, they have been supplied by Marimel Greenhouse of LeSueur, owned by Marilynn and Melvin Riebel.
   Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Henry Catholic Church in rural LeSueur County. Visitation was held Friday in the Marimel Greenhouse Chapel which she and her husband Melvin built at their nursery, among the flowers she loved.
   Mrs. Riebel was born Sept. 27, 1938, in Le Sueur County. She graduated from Le Center High School, and attended nurses training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. She married Melvin Riebel on Oct. 1, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in LeCenter, and they spent their married life running the greenhouse together.
   She is survived by her husband, Melvin, of LeSueur, four sons and one daughter, 13 grandchildren, four brothers and one sister.
   Le Center Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
