Services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, and will continue Friday one hour prior to services at the church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frieda and Orval Palmer of Milwaukee, Wis.; son and daughters-in-law, Karl and wife Rosemary of Green Isle, and Ruth Dieball of Withee, Wis.; sisters, Minna Piotter of Emmedingen, Germany and Erna Klauenboesch of Teufenthal, Switzerland; sister-in-law, Lena Schimanke of Emmendingen; brother-in-law, Joseph Wegner of Leba, Poland; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Karl on May 8, 1978; sons, Rudolf and Fritz; two brothers; and one sister. She was born Nov. 17, 1910, in Fuchsberg, Kreis, Germany, to Herman and Wilhelmine (Graesern) Schimanke. She married Karl Dieball on May 25, 1934, in Giesebits, Germany. She, her husband and their children immigrated to the United States in January 1952 and made their home in Jackson, before moving to Arlington in 1955. Benjamin J. Gruendemann, 76, of Olivia, formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Olivia Health Care Center. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Morton, with burial in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Cairo Township. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and will continue Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Reinhold Reek, 94, of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Nelson Funeral Home. He is survived by his son, Roger of Franklin; and daughters, Marcella of Redwood Falls and Judy of Willmar. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara in 1987; brothers Gust and Rudy; and sisters, Elis, Avina and Christina. He was born on Dec. 18, 1904 in Emmett Township, Renville County. He attended Delhi schools. He resided in Renville and Redwood counties and in Redwood Falls for the past 16 years. He did labor for various people. He was a member of Flora Ev. Lutheran Church.
