Thea Abrahamson, 99, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Nancy's Comfort Kare, rural St. Peter. There will be a private family graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery, rural New Sweden, at a later date. St. Peter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Thea was born on Jan. 13, 1905, in New Sweden to Peter and Marie (Nielsen) Hansen. She married Chester Abrahamson on Aug. 25, 1922, at Norseland Lutheran Church in Norseland. They farmed in the Bernadotte area, moving to St. Peter in 1957. She worked for St. Peter Community Hospital as a nursing aide and retired in the early 1970s. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Mattson of St. Peter; a son, Dale Abrahamson of Sleepy Eye; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Mike Kirchberg, 89, of Rosen died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in a St. Paul hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rosen. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Zahrbock Funeral Chapel in Madison., and after 6 p.m. tonight at the church in Rosen. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the church. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday until the time of the service. He is survived by his wife, Adelaide, of Rosen, their children, Thmas Kirchberg of New Ulm, Marvin, Paul, Jane Perry, Bernard, Catherine Mork, Peter, Arnold, Phyllis Barr, Elizabeth Bremer, and Warren. Henry Schmidt, 88, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Gaylord, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord. Burial with military rites will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Monday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
