Edward J. Donohue, 84, of Lake Allie, Boon Lake Township, Renville County, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000 at Glencoe Regional Health Services.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Stewart, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughes Funeral Home, Stewart, with parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Episcopal Group Home, Wayzata, or St. Boniface Catholic Church, Stewart.
He is survived by his wife Deloris of rural Buffalo Lake; children, Judy and husband Dick Mehlhop of New Ulm, Jeri and husband Larry Peterson of Jonesboro, Ark., Jan and husband Jim Johnson of Clearwater, Jay and wife Laurie of Excelsior, and Jodie of Plymouth; stepchildren, Harlan and wife Diane Steele of Socorro, N.M., Jeanine and husband Bruce Baldwin of Coloma, Mich., Stewart and wife Nancy Steele of North Mankato, and Doylene and husband Red Austin of Lawley, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 22 stepgreat-grandchildren; brother Steve of New York; sister Margaret Keefe of Fairmont; and several nieces, nephews, and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Verna; son Michael; daughter Jalaine; and brothers, Bud and Joe.
He was born April 15, 1916, in Minneapolis, to Joseph and Margaret (Morgenstein) Donohue. He attended Ascension Parochial School. He graduated from North High School, Minneapolis, and attended Dunwoody Institute, Minneapolis.
He married Verna Lee on April 24, 1937, in Minneapolis. They lived in Minneapolis, where he worked for Lincoln Suppliers. he eventually became head salesman. He married Deloris Steele in May 23, 1986, in Iowa.
Rita Ann Gorman , 57, of Arcadia, Calif., died Saturday, July 29, 2000 at home.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at Monrovia Mortuary, Monrovia, Calif., with burial in Forest-Lawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband William; son Sean; daughter Shannon and fiance Scott Bulick; father Paul Rasmussen and wife Jane W. of Sleepy Eye; brothers, Paul Rasmussen Jr. and wife Linda of Bendl, Ill., Fred Rasmussen and wife Jane of Evan, and Mark Rasmussen of Sleepy Eye; daughter Sandra Johnson and husband Todd of Spokane, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews; stepsister Judy Tompkins and husband Lloyd of Park Rapids; stepbrothers, Alan Jacobsen and special friend Sharon Anderson of Morgan and Cosmos, David Jacobsen and wife Kathleen of Northfield, and Curtis Jacobsen and wife Lisa of Prescott, Wisc.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Maurer Rasmussen; stepmother Oradell Backer Rasmussen; aunt Alta Nelsen; uncle Eugene "Sonny" Maurer; great-aunt Laura Koehne; grandparents; and a stepsister.
She was born March 24, 1943, in Eden Township, Brown County, to Paul and Lucille Anne (Maurer) Rasmussen. She attended District 18 and graduated from Sleepy Eye High School. She attended the University of Minnesota for one year. She did modeling for Dayton's in Minneapolis. She also worked for Graco Company, Minneapolis and California. She married William Sean Gorman on Feb. 14, 1970, in California. She worked with her husband at their flower shop in Arcadia.
Gladys C. Johnson, 91, of Madelia, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by daughters, Janie and husband Alfred of Alden, Glenys Ehlers and husband Robert of Bayport, and Gayle Pederson of North Mankato; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother Melvin and wife Gert of Madelia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Shirley; two sisters; one brother; and one brother-in-law.
She was born April 15, 1909, in Sleepy Eye to Sigvald and Petra (Peterson) Pederson. She grew up in rural Sleepy Eye and rural Madelia, where she attended District 4 school. She married Kenneth Johnson on Oct. 15, 1930, in rural Madelia. They farmed in rural Madelia until moving into town in 1944. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, church circles, and Sewing Circle. She has lived at Luther Memorial Home since October 1994.
Aaste Lindemann, 67, of Mankato and formerly of New Ulm and Dassel, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.

DeWayne Rayner Johnson, 70, of Odin, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Minneapolis.

Emma Halvorson, 90, of Gibbon, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center, Winthrop.

William 'Bill' Feder Sr. , 77, of Madelia, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, in Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Madelia, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by daughter Shari Roemhildt of Janesville; sons, Larry and special friend Lynda of Brainerd, Bill and wife Judy of Mankato, and Terry and special friend Linda of Granville, Iowa; special friend Carolyn Wyse; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Ruth Overlee and husband Carl of Johnson City, Tenn., and Arlene Rigg of Bishop Hill, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Hazel.
He was born Oct. 12, 1922, in Madelia, to William and Anna (Solberg) Feder. He was orphaned at the age of six, and was raised by his grandmother and uncles. He attended school in Madelia. He married Velma Cunningham on March 29, 1941. They moved to Dekalb, Ill., where he worked in a munitions plant. In 1944, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. Until 1946 he served on the cruiser USS Birmingham. After the war, the couple returned to Madelia, where he operated a television shop and built Feder's Mobile Village. He researched the unsung heroes of World War II. His collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the Ploesti Oil Field Raid led to the opening of the Ploesti Oil Field Display, which is exhibited at the Mid America Air Museum in Sioux City, Iowa. He helped restore a number of planes at the B-24 Museum in Pueblo, Colo. He has been recognized in the Congressional Record. He earned the Medal of Merit and Outstanding Member from the Air Force, State of Colorado. He earned the Meritorious and Exceptional Service Awards from the Civil Air Patrol and was inducted into the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame. He was listed in the register "International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs."
Vernon C. Meyers, 81, of Odin, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Trimont Health Care Center, Trimont.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Odin, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Odin, with military honors by Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post 373 of Trimont and Donald Larson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9607, Butterfield.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Trimont, and will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

He is survived by his wife Irene; daughter Pat Rettke and husband Dennis of Mahtomedi; sons, Jerome and wife Ruth of DeForest, Wisc., James and wife Barb of Maple Grove, Stan and wife Gloria of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kyle and wife Liz of North Mankato; eight grandchildren; sister Elva Klein of Portland, Ore.; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law Leonard Klein.
He was born Jan. 31, 1919, to Sidney and Justina (Wedhorn) Meyers in Mountain Lake. He graduated from Mountain Lake High School in 1937. He worked for Worthmore Creamery-Produce, Mountain Lake. He served in he United States Air Force from 1942-45. He married Irene Olson on Oct. 6, 1945, in St. James. He worked at Rochester Dairy until 1949, when he operated a general store in Odin. He later managed the Odin Liquor Store. He was also a custodian and bus driver for Odin-Butterfield School District for 22 years. He organized the Odin Fastpitch Softball Team. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Odin, and the Foster-Bernhardt American Legion Post 373 of Trimont and the Donald Larson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9607 of Butterfield.
Gordon A. Licht, 67, of Columbia, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000 at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, Mo.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Columbia, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Columbia; sons, Scott of Minneapolis and 1st Sgt. Coral Gillham of Patuxent, Md.; daughters, Priscilla of Corvallis, Ore., Amy Magyar of Ames, Iowa, and Alicia Parker of Springtown, Texas; brothers, Robert of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Willard of Altoona, Iowa; sisters, Florence Kracke of Lombard, Ill., Ione Heinitz of Oak Park, Ill., Marcella Nell of Boone, Iowa, Joanne Fevold of Des Moines, Iowa, Gladys Johnson of Badger, Iowa, and Polly Peterson of Wausau, Wisc.; former wife Elizabeth of Ames; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Timothy; brother Harold; and sister Dorothy Lindner.

He was born Feb. 15, 1933, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to William and Lydia Moench Licht. He married Carolyn Gillham in Grand Prairie, Texas, on Dec. 6, 1986. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Columbia. He was a former principal and teacher at various Lutheran parochial schools from 1955-1968. He worked for 3M from 1969-1994 in production and human resources. He was a member of Lutheran Laymen's League and a Bible class teacher. He was past board president of Lutheran Family and Children Services.
