   DuWayne Dennin, 50, of Brownton, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.
   Services were held Monday in Hutchinson.
   Arrangements were handled by Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson.
   He is survived by son Randy and wife Mei-ling of Marietta, Ga.; grandson Tannon; brothers, Gary, Steven and Kevin, all of Brownton, Bruce and wife Gail of Hector; sisters, Sandra Schuneman and husband Gary of Shakopee, Annette and special friend Ron Hoernemann of Brownton, and Lynelle Freiderich and husband Kevin of New Ulm; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Brian.
   He was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Glencoe, to Willmar and Pearl (Miller) Dennin. He graduated from Brownton High School in 1967. He served in military was sent to Vietnam where he was wounded in battle and then hospitalized in Colorado. He worked with the Post Service in Colorado and Brownton. He was a member of Brownton American legion and Disabled American Veterans. He was diagnosed with leukemia in October 1999.

   Aaste Lindemann, 67, of Dassel, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood United Methodist Church, New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Thursday.
   She is survived by sons, Craig and wife Mary of New Ulm, Robert and wife Jo Ellen of Norwood, William and wife Cindy of Lakeville, Bruce and wife Julie of St. Bonifacius; daughter Gwen Samuelson and husband Troy of St. Peter; stepdaughter Tricia Dawn Sticha of Minneapolis; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Aasten Braaten and wife Agnes, Marland Braaten and wife Lorraine, all of Butterfield; sisters, Anna Ringen and husband Dale of Butterfield, and Mabel Olson and husband Burton of Mountain Lake; nieces; nephews; and special friend John Hoberg of Mankato.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and husband Howard.
   She was born April 30, 1933, in Butterfield to Sam and Mabel (Iverson) Braaten. Her parents died when she was young. She graduated from Cokato High School. She married Howard Lindemann on Aug. 22, 1953, in Estherville, Iowa, and moved to New Ulm. She was secretary for New Ulm Manufacturing and then worked for B.F. Goodrich. She retired in 1987, when she moved to a lake home near Dassel.

   DeWayne Johnson, 70, of Odin, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Veterans Administration Hospital, Minneapolis.
   Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Odin, with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
   Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.
   Sturm Funeral Home, St. James, is in charge of arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife Marion; sons, Mark and wife Lorna of Belle Plaine, Scott of Phoenix, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Eldon and wife Nancy of Warrenton, Va.; sister Marion and husband Andrew of Bloomington; daughter-in-law JoAnn Johnson of Young America; and many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; son Randy; and brother LeDale.
   He was born Feb. 11, 1930, in St. James to Rayner and Alice (Heller) Johnson. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school. He married Marion Albrecht on Nov. 4, 1950, in St. Paul. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952-1953. He was deputy sheriff in Carver County for 17 years. He farmed in the Norwood/Young America area. He raised Arabian horses. He served as jailer in St. James before moving to Odin in 1997.

   Emma Halvorson, 90, of Gibbon died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the Clear Lake Norwegian Cemetery in Severance Township,Sibley County.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue from noon until the time of service at the church on Friday.
   She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Marge Halvorson of St. Peter, Harlow and Marlene Halvorson of Moorhead, Daniel and Florence Halvorson of Sleepy Eye; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Ramona Evenson of Arlington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, E. Harris Halvorson on Sept. 28, 1990; son, David Halvorson on Nov. 4, 1998; and brothers, Raymond Evenson, Chester Evenson, Earnest Evenson, Lloyd Evenson; one sister and four brothers, all in infancy; grandson, Timothy; two great-grandchildren, Anna and Timothy.
   She was born on Feb. 22, 1910, in Severance Township, Sibley County to Theodore E. and Elisa (Dahl) Evenson. She married E. Harris Halvorson on March 23, 1936, at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. They farmed in Severance Township, Sibley County, from 1936 to 1949. In 1950 they moved to Gibbon. She worked for 29 years at Marsh's Bakery in Gibbon. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran church in Gibbon.

   Floyd E. Johnson, 73, of Odin, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center, St. James.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Kansas Lake Lutheran Church in rural Butterfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Trimont; and continues one hour before the services Friday at the church.

   Stella Carlson , 75, of 1416 S. German St., New Ulm, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Oak Hills Living Center.
   Arrangements are pending with Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.
