   Stella Carlson, 75, 1416 S. German St., New Ulm, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 at Oak Hills Living Center, New Ulm.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Soldiers Rest section of New Ulm City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.
   She is survived by her husband Helmer of New Ulm; daughter Shirley Cruea and husband Allen of Rockvale, Tenn.; granddaughter Heather Marie Cruea of Rockvale; brothers, Homer Ream and wife Marge of Three Rivers, Mich., Richard Ream and wife Lee of Howardsville, Mich., and Rev. Kenneth Ream and wife Donna of Louisiana, Mo.; sister Emmie Barton of Sturgis, Mich; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
   She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Three Rivers, to Delbert and Lavicie (Barnes) Ream. She attended Schoolcraft School. She married Helmer Carlson on Oct. 14, 1946, in Three Rivers. They moved to St. James in 1946 and farmed for many years. They moved to Michigan in May 1967, returning to New Ulm in 1995. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

   David Westrup , 66, of New Ulm died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000 at his home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Knights of Columbus Council 1076 of New Ulm will pray the rosary at 6 p.m., and there will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   He is survived by his wife, Theresa Westrup of New Ulm; daughters and son-in-law, Maria and Glen Bowman of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Barbara Westrup of Bloomington; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Cindy Westrup of Stillwater, and Bob and Beth Westrup of West St. Paul; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Gary Figgins of Mount Aukum, Calif.; sister-in-law, Catherine Westrup of Winstad.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Westrup.
   He was born June 18, 1934, in Eden Valley to Joseph and Dorothy (Dreis) Westrup. He graduated from Eden Valley High School in 1952. He entered the United States Air Force in October of 1961 and served until August of 1962. He attended the College of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota graduating in 1962. He moved to New Ulm in 1963. On Oct. 16, 1965 he married Theresa Foley at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. He worked as an engineer for 3M for 42 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, and the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree Council 1076 in New Ulm.
   The family prefers memorials to the Way of the Cross, NUACS, or the American Cancer Society.

   Carl Sandbo, 90, of Odin, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at his home in Odin.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Odin, with burial in St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, rural Odin.
   Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, and at the church, one hour prior to the service.

   Floyd Johnson, 73, of Odin, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center, St. James.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Kansas Lake Lutheran Church, rural Butterfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Trimont, and will continue one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Eunice; children, Bruce and wife Betty of rural Odin, Victoria and husband Howard Goplin of Rosemount, Barbara and husband Christian Anderson of Shoreview, Phillip of Crystal, Karla and husband Wesley Beck of rural St. James; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Olga Moody of St. James, and Linnea and husband Art Ellanson of Glencoe; sister-in-law Marian Johnson of Fairmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and DiAnn Bloomquist or rural Trimont, Wayne and Wanda Bloomquist of rural Trimont, Melva and Donavan Ammann of rural Ormsby, Charles and Michele Bloomquist of Los Alamitos, Calif., and Sharon and Jack Laughridge of Jordan; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his son Paul; parents; brother Melvin "Pete" Johnson; and sister Eldora Ross.
   He was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Long Lake Township, Watonwan County, to Carl and Axie (Sandberg) Johnson. He was a member of Kansas Lake Lutheran Church, rural Butterfield. He graduated from St. James Public School in 1944. He spent two years in the U.S. Navy. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College. He farmed from 1947 until 1988, when he moved to Odin. He lived at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center, St. James, since June 1997. He married Eunice Bloomquist on Jan. 24, 1949 in Triumph. He served on the Butterfield-Odin School Board, Watonwan County Pork Producers, 4-H, Farmers Union, and as secretary of the Central Bowling League, St. James.

   Robert Mueller , 70, of rural Gaylord, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Waconia Nightengale Center.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Arlington, with burial at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, New Auburn Township.
   Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, and at the church Friday, one hour prior to the services.
   He is survived by his son, Kevin Mueller, of Gaylord; daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Carl Thompson of Mason City, Iowa, Barb and Tom Kolden of LeRoy, Cindy and Ken Borth of Forest City, Iowa and Pam Mueller of Richfield; eight grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Merle Kleen of Menifee, Calif. and Wendell Bose of Delhart, Texas.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol; sisters, Lois Bose and Ruth Fleischer; and brother-in-law, Dick Fleischer.
   He was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Rockwell, Iowa, to Rev. William and Henrietta (Goeken) Mueller. He married Carol Bergs on Sept. 16, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church in New Auburn Township. They farmed in New Auburn Township until 1960 when they moved to Dryden Township. After retiring, he worked at Hands, Inc. at Winthrop.

   Marvin Mork , 79, of Hopkins, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8115 Hwy. 7, St. Louis Park, with burial Monday in Ft. Snelling.
   Visitation is one hour prior to service at the church and also Friday 5-8 p.m. with VFW ritual at 7 p.m.
   Memorials are preferred to Methodist Hospital Hospice or donor's choice.
   Arrangements are being handled by Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel of Hopkins.
   He is survived by children, Nancy and Charles Stewart of Hector, Charlotte and Raymond Vondall and Richard and Roxi Mork; nine grandchildren.
   He is also survived by brothers-in-law Bill Lundberg and Mel and Dee Lundberg; nieces and nephews; and friend Ann Graber.
   He was preceded in death by wife, Merle.
   He grew up in the Hector area.
