Leroy Duscher, 78, of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday. He is survived by his wife Lucina of Redwood Falls; children and their spouses, John and Jan Duscher of Windom, the Rev. Romuald (Roger) Duscher of Big Sur, Calif., Susan and Mervin Floodman of Williston, N.D., Joel and Lori Duscher of Norton, Kansas, Jean and Owen Norcutt of Woodbury, Gregory and Laurylee Duscher of Eagan, and Karen and Jon McCarthy of Blaine; 14 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ray and Gerri Duscher of Redwood Falls, Rose Malecha of Redwood Falls, Norma Honzay of Olivia, William and Kathy Duscher of Lucan, Maryann Donner of Spicer, James and LaVerne Duscher of Sleepy Eye and Delores and Elmer Hartwig of Mankato. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward. He was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Wabasso to William and Mary (Welter) Duscher. He attended Redwood Falls schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945, earning the Defense Service Medal with a bronze star. He married Lucina Tauer on Sept. 18, 1945, in Morgan. They lived in Redwood Falls where he was a mechanic, carpenter and distributor for Henry Candy Co. for 24 years before retiring in 1984. He belonged to St. Catherine's Catholic Church and was a civil defense volunteer. Marlys Pederson, 64, of Redwood Falls, died on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at the Redwood Falls Hospital. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and Saturday, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her husband, Gordon, of Redwood Falls; daughters and sons-in-law, Deb and Dwight Davis of Renville and Peggy and Dave Kuehn of Belview; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Clararce and Don Aulner of Brookings, S.D., Dorothy Sand of Sioux Falls, S.D., Rose Westley of Sioux Falls, S.D., Gordy and Donna Westley of Toronto, S.D., David Westley of Minneapolis, Cleo Cook of Lake Dallas, Texas, Gary Westley of Toronto, S.D. and Brenda and Mick Warborg of Brookings, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Stanley; sisters, Darlene Sik and Helen, an infant; and grandson, Seth Kuehn. She was born July 16, 1936, in Estilline, S.D., to Clarence and Clara (Bren) Westley. She graduated from Toronto High School in 1954. She married Gordon Peterson on Dec. 21, 1957, in Cottonwood. They lived most of their married life in Redwood Falls. Carl Sandbo, 90, of Odin, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000, at his home. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Odin, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and at the church, Saturday, one hour prior to services. He is survived by his wife, Leona of Odin; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Weldon Shaw of Emmons, Carolyn and Norman Sandmeyer of St. James; sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Cheri of Ormsby, Richard "Bick" and Gerry of Odin, and Gene of Ormsby; nine grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Hunstad of Butterfield; brothers-in-law, Erwin and Eunice Hansen of Odin, Carl Hansen of Butterfield and Art McNeal of Mankato; sisters-in-law, Irene Sandbo and June Hansen, both of Odin and Helma Fossum of St. James, Marie Sandbo of Heron Lake, Signe Hansen of Lakewood, Calif; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons; daughter-in-law Peggy Sandbo; five sisters, four brothers and other relatives. He was born Nov. 26, 1909, to Iver and Maria (Syverson) Sandbo in Cedar Township, Martin County. He attended rural school in Cedar Township. He married Leona Hansen on Aug. 28, 1942, in Odin. He farmed. He retired in Ormsby in 1979. They moved to Odin in 1998. Mary Prellwitz, 91, of Buffalo Lake, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Hector, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Hughes Funeral Home, Hector, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and continues at the church Monday, one hour prior to the service. She is survived by her children, August Prellwitz of Buffalo Lake, Joann and husband Lloyd Streeter of Hector, Richard and husband Beatrice Prellwitz of Stewart, Lorraine and husband Bill Rote of Askov and Phyllis and Marvin Hubert of Paynesville; 36 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; brothers, John Hecimovich of Park Falls, Wis., and Martin Hecimovich of Ashland, Wis.; sister-in-law, Ann Hecimovich of Ashland, Wis.; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, August; sister, Minnie Evanson; brothers Mike, Peter and Marko; and three grandsons. She was born June 2, 1909, to John and Frances Hecimovich in Mountain Iron. She lived with her aunt and uncle in Wisconsin after her parents died. She moved to Minneapolis at age 16 and later moved to Hector. She married August Prellwitz on Jan. 3, 1929, in Bird Island. They farmed near Buffalo Lake. She belonged to St. John's Catholic Church, Hector.
