Delores Benson, 64, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine; with burial at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Visitation is one hour before services today at the church. Gearhart Coon Rapids Chapel handled arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; son, Mark; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and Kim Gosselin, Dawn and Scott Davis; three grandchildren; a brother, Leon Fritsche; and sister, Elaine Evans. Memorials are preferred. Roman Hacker, 82, of Fairfax, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center, Redwood Falls. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial in St. Andrew's Catholic Church Cemetery in Cairo Township with full military rites by the Fairfax Honor Guard. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax and at the church, Thursday, one hour prior to the service. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. and parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. A complete obituary will be published in a future edition. Dennis Lowther, 47, of Fargo, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at his lake home. Services were Monday at Community Baptist Church, Fargo. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Andy; daughter, Sarah; brothers, Mic of Anchorage, Alaska, Michael and his fiancee Debbie of Lake City, Patrick and Michal of Sleepy Eye and Joseph and Linda of Winona. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bette Frances. He was born Dec. 20, 1952, in Winona. He married Sharon Royal July 12, 1975 in Moorhead. He attended Moorhead Technical College. He worked for NCR Corporation for two years. He formed Lowther Corporation and GET-LOW, Inc. which created software systems; and was a partner and CEO of Mississippi Jewel in Lake City. Martha Schlagel, 93, of Hutchinson, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Burns Manor Nursing Home in Hutchinson. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with burial in St. Willibrord's Cemetery, Gibbon. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and 8-9 a.m. Wednesday at Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson, and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service. A rosary will be held at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughters, Clara Betker of Hutchinson, Joan and John Greene of Danvers, Margaret and Steven Gohla of Andover, Lucy and Stephen Olsen of Alexandria; sons, George and Henry of Buffalo Lake, James of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Ann Klement; son, Joseph; sons-in-law, Robert Klement and Roger Betker; granddaughter Wendy Betker; brothers, George and Joseph Schnichels; and sisters Frances, Elizabeth and Marie. She was born April 17, 1907, in Martinsburg Township, Renville County, to Joseph and Sophie (Kemp) Schnichels. She attended Country School District 78 in Renville County. She married Louis Schlagel on Feb. 9, 1926, at St. John's Catholic Church, Hector. They farmed near Hector, Stewart and Buffalo Lake, retired in 1966 and moved to Hutchinson. Louis died August 31, 1978. She belonged to St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Roy R. Johnson, 87, formerly of New Ulm died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Lynwood Health Care Center in Fridley. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery. Visitation is 11:30 a.m. to the time of service at the church on Wednesday. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of the arrangements. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Robert Kleinhans of Bloomington, Judy Johnson of Blaine, and Joyce and Dennis Hoehne of Windom; sons and daughters-in-law, Loren and Jeanne Johnson of Forest Lake, and Allan and Nancy Johnson of Blaine; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marcella Johnson on Feb. 26, 1961; daughters, Loretta Johnson, Eloise Derksen; granddaughter, Kimberly Johnson; three brothers; and one sister. He was born July 17, 1913 in Wells, Kansas, to Clifford and Ida (Cheney) Johnson. He attended country school in Wells, Kansas. After his family moved to Ceylon, he attended country school in rural Ceylon. On Oct. 7, 1933, he married Marcella Lubenow in Estherville, Iowa. They lived in the Comfrey, New Ulm, and the Blaine area where he worked as an auto mechanic. He retired in 1978. After retiring he was a volunteer for the Brown County Senior Companion Program. He was a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Robert Blazing, 80, formerly of New Ulm and a Mayo Clinic employee, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rochester, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Rochester. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. at Macken Funeral Home, Rochester; and at the church, one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Trista, Dennis and Vicki and Dale, all of Rochester; and David and Paula of Racine, Wis.; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Daniel Young of Eyota; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Louise of Rochester and Richard and JoAnne of Viola; sisters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Dwight Felt of Rupert, Idaho and Delores and Darrell of Le Roy. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He was born March 20, 1920, in Haverhill Township, Olmsted County. He married Loretta Sellner on Nov. 7, 1953, at St. John's Catholic Church in Rochester. They lived in Rochester. Jo Ellen (Mrs. Robert) Lindemann, 41, of Norwood, and formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is 4 - 9 p.m. today and will continue 7:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lindemann, of Norwood; daughter, Reva Lindemann, of Norwood; father, Larry Zimmerman of New Ulm; grandmother Alice Zimmerman Madsen and her husband, Stanley, of Fairmont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Wayne Wels of New Ulm, Linda and Allan Wills and Peggy and David Otto all of Nicollet; brother and sister-in-law Barry and Shelli Zimmerman of New Ulm; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Craig and Mary Lindemann of New Ulm, William and Cindy Lindemann of Lakeville, Bruce and Julie Lindemann of St. Bonifacius; sister-inlaw and brother-in-law, Gwen and Troy Samuelson of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Tricia Dawn Sticha of Minneapolis; and by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Zimmerman on Aug. 16, 1996; one grandmother and two grandfathers. She was born Jan. 13, 1959, in Mankato to Larry and Beverly (McCarthy) Zimmerman. She attended school in New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1978. On June 30, 1984, she married Robert Lindemann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. They moved to Waconia living there for five years before moving to Norwood. For many years she worked as a licensed day-care provider out of her home. She was a member of the Catholic Church in Norwood. Chester Wylie, 97, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Center. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
